Hi girls!
It's another very warm, sunny day again; I'll have to take the dogs back to the park we went to yesterday as they had so much fun. Autumn got all excited when she saw the stream, and decided she was going to go swimming. Of course, she could only go as far as her leash would allow, which wasn't far at all, but I tried leaning over so she could have a little more fun in the deeper water. Well, I didn't take the muddy bank into account, and she pulled me so hard at one point that before I knew it I was sitting in the mud. (sigh) I'll have to get a retractable leash for her so she can have more mobility - I was surprised at how she seems to love swimming! Honeybun, OTOH, didn't care one way or another, beyond getting a drink - she doesn't seem to like to get wet.
Autumn seems to love little girls; she always wants to play with them. I wonder if her former owners had one?
I wanted to shower ASAP when I got home as I was covered in mud, so I didn't get around to cutting the grass, but I did get some shrubs and some small dead tree branches trimmed and cut back the honeysuckle that was taking over my front porch. I like it covering the rails, but it was getting so prolific that the stairs were getting blocked as well. Maybe I'll get to the grass later today; if not...tomorrow. (I'm feeling tired today.)
Gosh Jean, it's a shame you missed out on the tax credit for your HVAC - it expired on 12/31/13.
I recently re-discovered Progresso soups when they were BOGO at Publix, otherwise they're too expensive. Campbell's used to be my go-to brand, but they've changed them, either adding HFCS (which I avoid as much as possible) or else the recipes have be reformulated and they don't taste like they used to. The Manhattan clam chowder used to be one of my favorites, but now it's almost entirely liquid with a couple of pieces of potato and carrot...certainly not worth what they charge for it.
I remember eagerly waiting for the TSV at midnight...back in the days when they were both something special and a good value. Now they cut back a couple of dollars on an ordinary product, so it's not worth even looking anymore.
Twinny, unlike you I enjoy grocery shopping - it's fun to see what new products are available. In fact, every time I travel somewhere I like to check out local supermarkets to see what they might have that I can't get at home. Bathing suit shopping, OTOH, I can do without; I usually just grab something on clearance since no one can see me in my back yard pool. I have a bunch of them anyway, since I stocked up when I lived in Hawaii.
I don't need any spring or summer clothes at all (apart from nightwear, since mine has all gone missing and I can't find it), but I might make a trip to Steinmart one of these days. I've never been, but several times I've complimented ladies on something they were wearing and they said that's where they got it.
Hope you're feeling better, Val - hopefully I'll be getting up your way before long. I still am eager to try that pizza, especially since I've written off my formerly favorite place, and can't wait to check out Trader Joe's.
How did things go with your husband, Linda?
Guess I'd better get moving; I talked to my pastor about the church getting involved in my new deployed chaplains' support group, and he was excited about it - he told me to call his assistant, which I need to do. I also have to go downtown and get my tags renewed; I never got the notice in the mail (I suspect it went to my trashy neighbor, like it did last year, and she sent it back again rather than have one of her kids just put it in my mailbox) and was going to do it on-line, but when I went to the PO yesterday I used the wrong debit card...so now neither one has enough left on it to pay for the renewal so I'll have to pay cash. It's always something, isn't it?
Have a blessed day, everyone!

Oh the Olive Garden soup. A lady at church often brings it for potlucks. She said her family doesn't care for it. We all look forward to her offering!.
Kathleen: Oh Celebrate Recovery in your new area will so appreciate you!!
LindaL: Oh I know you are glad that the prep is over. I know your DH is also happy!. Hope all goes well. Yes new tires---took my vehicle in for a front end alignment. They came back and said two tires were bad. I opted for all four. Necessary expenses.

Linda what are you up to this weekend? I took my car and vacuumed and washed it at lunch. I thought we would take the new truck to the wedding but he said I would be driving so I'd rather take my car. He got the insurance going and we discovered there is another Steve and Kathleen close by!! I hope they don't bank at our credit union as well.
I am looking forward to dancing. Jean, the "good old days" weren't so long ago for me either, when I didn't go clothes shopping very often, and what I got usually didn't work with what I already had. I've found I am still suspect to the "sale" items that are often on sale for a reason.

I saw the post about the 3/4 sleeve Denim & Co. jacket. I have it in white and in hot pink. Love that jacket.
I went to bed to read but fell asleep as I didn't sleep well last night because of pain. Sleeping 2 hours this afternoon is bad news for sleep tonight as I usually don't sleep well at night when I sleep in the day.
Arlene--I have a vivid picture of you being pulled through the mud by a very eager dog. I got started on the Progresso Light soups when Wal-Mart had them for $1.43. Of course, they are higher now but very worth the price.
Kathleen--Regardless of where you call home, your talents can be put to use. I loved the picture of you accepting the keys to the truck. You really look good in that color; you should wear it more often.
LindaR--I love the Olive Garden's Pasta Fagioli as well as its clones. I would look forward to it at any time for any event.

Well, DH's procedure went fine. He has a minor issue, but nothing serious. He will need a high fiber diet/supplements, and I am already doing that for myself. So, I'll just share some of my fiber powder, etc.
He was surprised that the procedure was no big deal. I knew the preparation was the hard part.
My tires came in, so I'll go ahead and get them mounted this afternoon. Like you LindaR -- they said I needed two, but I went ahead and bought all four.
Hope you have a nice time at the wedding Kathleen.
Nice to see you posting Val. Hope you feel better soon.
Hope you can sleep tonight Jean and things get straightened out for you Arlene.

LindaL: great news---yes, the prep is not fun. Once you get through that part the rest is not a big deal---unless your doctor is three hours late!!
