SG / Pants / A7932

They are from SG's lustra knit line.  Really low item number, I don't know how long they've been in the storage box.  I wore a lot of lustra knit 10+ years ago - so these may have been around since then.

So ...  found these yesterday - never worn, probably because they were too long (and I was too lazy to shorten).   I hate to deal with knit fabrics - it took me about an hour to pick out the original hem threads.

 

I shortened them today and discovered some things about her pants. 

 

  • The front of the legs is narrower than the back.  (Normally, when I fold pants flat - back and front are the same width.  These are about an inch narrower in front. )

 

  • Legs are tapered - which I discovered when I folded up the fabric for the new hem.  Rather than cut the hem facing - I just cut some slits.  I use  wide iron-on hem tape - it covers the slits.
