I agree some reviews are way off base now!! QVC needs to be more selective with them! ![]()

Besides, SG is 5'4". If people thought it looked too big or long on her, couldn't they figure out that it would be even bigger and longer on someone shorter than 5'4"? You make some good points but what kind of shoes was Susan and the reviewer or even the models wearing.....that makes a difference too, and even if it looked good on Susan or petite model certain style of shoes with a slight heel can make it look appropriate, but if the shoe had a slightly lower heel it might be too long..... I purchased a sweater coat one time that the vendor and host INSISTED would be great even on petites (the petite model was not in the show), so I purchased it.....great sweater coat but it was way too long and sent it back stating that they needed a petite size in this item!!! And when I compared the actual length to the online measurements on "click here", the online measurements were way off with the actual garment....so even doing that you cant trust what QVC says .... I used to buy quite a few clothing items from QVC but no more......
Shoes do NOT change how a garment fits! If a shirt hits you midthigh it doesn't matter if you're wearing flats or 5 inch stilettos! It's still hitting you midthigh!

This topic was about reviews---someone had stated...
They were selling a skirt the other night that was 36 inches for PETITES. Even the host said it should be rolled up if it is too long. What designer thinks a 36 inch skirt is the right length for petites????
I was adding to the conversation and adding another issue regarding height and length issue for petites and my experience with a sweater coat....and always look at what shoes Susan and the models wear or so I thought.............shoes do make a difference....if Im wearing a skirt or pants and I wear flats its going to be different when I wear heels with the same pants ....even the vendors and hosts mention the type of shoes and how it changes the length of an outfit...For example they say if your going to wear a shoe with a high heel order the tall pants, if its a flat or low heel then go with your regular length! Thats where I was coming from....maybe I didnt say it very well but thats my point!

I get it but I thought we were speaking specifically about a shirt?
With skirts or pants a shoe can effect where the hem hits in relation to the ground but the pants or skirt will still hit you in the same spot on your leg...
They're having a similar discussion on another thread regarding reviews. the problem with petite hosts and models is that we're all proportioned differently!
At 5'2 I cant go by Amy and Sharon because while they may be the same height as myself they have much shorter legs!

@Andreatoo, I so agree (what I bolded above), which is why I don't much understand why they give the models' height when showing pants. Height means nothing, its inseam that counts. Two people can be the same height, but if one has longer legs or a longer torso the pants will fall differently on them.

But shoes do have an effect on the overall proportional "look" of an outfit. If a scarf top is mid-thigh, wearing heels will give the illusion of longer legs (more distance to the ground) and, therefore, that scarf top won't look as overwhelming as if the petite woman wore flats.
