Re: Review of Linea by Louis Dell'Olio Faux Fur Reversible Coat

My stone/black reversible faux fur coat arrived today. It looked like the box was run over by a truck, but the coat was well-protected in a plastic bag. It is a bit wrinkled, but I think the wrinkles will come out without my steaming the coat. I like it very much, and it fits well. A couple of the button loops are a bit tight; but since they are elastic, I think they will loosen with use.

Now I'm just waiting for the Raspberry Pea Coat to arrive. I already have the Persian Blue Pea Coat and the Navy Swing Coat. So I'm pretty well set with coats. I took a few of my Dennis Basso and Rachel Zoe faux fur coats to consignment. I had plenty heavy coats in my closet, but not too many medium weight coats.

I brought this coat and the color was great. The construction was poor. I found two nicer coats at Lands Ends. It is hard to make a really nice coat for $100.

Re: Review of Linea by Louis Dell'Olio Faux Fur Reversible Coat

I saw a navy blue pea coat at LE for $200. For nearly all wool a reasonable price.

I ordered the ""mostly down"" Isaac puff coat Mo. night. It had everything I wanted and sold out in ten minutes. Isaac is a poor fit for me but I couldn't resist it. I have coats for moderate temps but not for frigid weather.

I'm sorry the Linea Pea Coat you received was not well-constructed. My Persian Blue Pea coat is very nicely made (I've done sewing, and I'm pretty picky about garment construction). I hope the Raspberry coat I receive is well-made. I know Lands End has nice coats also.

I started sewing 52 years ago. I am very picky. LE sends out email coupons for 25-30% off. LE coats come in number sizes with 2" increase in measurements in plus size. Linea coats are 4" difference.

I received the black coat today in my usual size (medium) and the fit is great, even over layers. The faux fur is so soft and I know it will keep me toasty warm. The only thing I don't like are the button loops, which are a bit too small making it difficult to button up. I really expected to be wow'd by this coat, so I was surprised that I felt it was just OK. I'll keep it and wear it on chilly days, but I think the pea coat is the season favorite for me, which I now have in 3 colors.

I'm right there with ya, girlfriend, with your thinking. I got the Black Medium Faux Fur and had to send back for a Large---but it has not arrived yet and it might be too big. The Medium seemed skimpy in my hips and the Large might be too big in the top---so this may not work for me after all. It's not the "wow" I thought, either. Maybe it's more of a wow in the Stone.

I adore my Raspberry Peacost---my "Pick of the Season."

My Stone/Black Small Faux Fur fits me just fine. I am pretty thin all over, so I can button the coat top to bottom; however, there's not a lot of extra room around the hips.

I just received the Raspberry Pea Coat yesterday (already had the Persian Blue). I ordered the Raspberry based on reviews from several Linea ladies. It's a beautiful color, the coat fits well, and it's as well-constructed as the Persian Blue Pea Coat.

Sheesh, I believe you mentioned that you have the Raspberry Shawl. Have you tried wearing the Raspberry Pea Coat with the shawl? Because I'm so skinny, I wonder if the shawl would be too overwhelming on me.

I've never purchased a Linea item, but I am tempted by this coat. Hope all who have purchased enjoy wearing it!

I bought that too. I'm not sure how it will fit, but I loved the hot pink. I should get it Monday and hope I don't have to return. I wonder if Shawn knew if it was real "down" or not. I'm not sure.....

I don't think this will be "good" for frigid weather though. It's very lightweight. If you want a coat for frigid climates, you'll need Lands End or L L bean or Eddie Bauer. These coats are not good for much below 40 degrees. I have a few lightweight puffer coats. They are not really warm.
