Inverted coat lapels didn't take off year before last.

I love pretty lapels on a coat or blazer; inverted lapels came in so far, you couldn't tell what you wore it with.  I knew they wouldn't sell, even in wool.

People will spend money on a classic, not a fashion item.

Most that I saw were in store's clearance for a very long time.

I love a jacket with an inverted lapel.  To me they are classic, sometimes on trend and other times not.  I suppose if you only have one jacket you will start with the notched lapel just like a man would.  If your wardrobe includes lots of jackets/blazers you will have a variety that allows for different styling options.  What I like most about the inverted lapel is that it creates a vertical look like a peaked lapel does but even stronger.  I also think it is nice for a  dressy or formal look.  The lapel I don't care for is the shawl lapel.

I like inverted lapels and any coat or jacket that doesn't have pockets and wide lapels and big buttons on the front.

I am short and busty.  I like my garments clean and free from bulky embellishments in the front.

It doesn't matter to me what happens to be in fashion at the time.  I dress to look good and these clean front styles look best on me.

I wish I could just wear what the current style is, but I can't, so I just accepted it.
