Received a different item than what I ordered. Has this ever happened to you?

I ordered a black Christine Eurlich faux leather jacket in L. A packaged arrived in 3 days. It was addressed to me. The packaged contained a blue Isaac sweater 2X. The package insert (with purchaser information on it) gave another woman's address as the purchaser. I am in Florida and she is in Pennsylvania. I called QVC and was told to return the sweater (which I did) and my account would be credited with the full refund for the jacket I did not receive. BUT, the refund will not show for at least 2 billing cycles on my credit card statement. WHAT???????? To add insult to injury, was told the jacket is no longer available in my size and color. No apologies, no nothing from the customer service rep........just return the sweater and then wait for the refund. I checked my order status online and it said the jacket was delivered. Delivered to who? Only the QVC warehouse packers know, I guess. Smiley Sad Smiley Sad

Re: Received a different item than what I ordered. Has this ever happened to you?

this has happened to me. It was not with the Q, but another on line ordering company. I kept checking the order status, said it was shipped, when it said delivered, it WAS NOT to me.

contacted the company and was told it would still be delivered, because the original estimated delivery date was still another week away. Waited a week, still said delivered, WAS NOT to me.

contacted the credit card company, they told me to send all the paperwork to them to have them investigate. Because it said it was delivered, I am still responsible for paying for the item even if it was NOT DELIVERED TO ME. Granted it was not a huge amount, it was the principle. Credit company said, it was delivered, no matter who got the purchase, it was delivered, I am responsible for paying for purchase. I was legally obligated to pay for someone else delivery. I paid my credit card for the month (it was a $40.00) order. I am still fuming about this, when DH got on line with the company who I ordered the item from and the company finally agreed to refund my purchase price plus ship. Total turn around time was about 8 weeks to be refunded my $40 bucks.

The exact same thing has happened a couple times to me here too. They say wait two billing cycles but it was credited back within a week or so. It is very frustrating when this happens.

Last Christmas I ordered Halo rechargers for everyone. One of the duos was purple leopard/purple. I got two Joan Rivers scarves - one in purple leopard and one in regular leopard! I called about it, and of course the Halos were sold out. The shipping insert said Halos, so I was billed for them. I sent them back, but I never could get the Halos. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Yes. I ordered an "as is" B Mak handbag -- the last one in this style ever -- and instead I got a giant bra. My name and address were correct, they just apparently mixed up the orders. Because of the price of the bag, I asked to be IMMEDIATELY refunded the amount and they did. I think the person that received the bag just kept it because it never came back in stock.

Not all customer service reps. are as skilled as they should be or they are pressed for time, I don't know for sure. That being said, I have gotten some other persons order 3 or 4 times within the past year from QVC and they always make it right. I guess this happens when so much product goes out in a short time. Anyway, they do credit your account within 3 days and it depends on the closing date of your credit card account what statement it will be on.

Wow, these are ridiculously insane and horror stories! I am sorry this happend to you all Smiley Sad

Nothing like that has happened to me (as of yet) but one time someone used my credit card to make a purchase in NY, and I am in CA, so my credit card company called me to make sure it was/wasn't me, and I was NOT charged for that purchase!

I am amazed to learn there are credit card companies which would still charge you for this kind of stuff! Doesn't the system show WHERE it was delivered too? At the very least, the city of destination should serve as a clue!

Same thing happened to me. I ordered a jacket, received a huge pair of SG trousers. I called CS because tracking said delivered on my order but the ticket inside the envelope listed someone else's info and order for the pants. The CS rep was very apologetic and immediately credited me for my order. The jacket I'd ordered was by then out of stock. I was disappointed, but I think the Q CS person handled it as well as she could. Something seems to be more wrong in the packing dept than with CS!

tough_kitty My package showed it was delivered to me because the address on the outside of the package was mine. The item inside the package was for someone else with a different address. Don't think the PO would be able to track a package any way other than with the address on the outside. The problem is with whoever or whatever is putting the wrong items in the packages without checking to make sure both are for the same person!
