I got my first ever rash guard shirt today at Costco-for $8.97! Hang Ten brand. They had solid colors and prints. I got a blue medallion tile print. It's nearly identical to a Lands End rash guard print that I've coveted.

I am a size 12 and got the large. Love the fit on me. Arms aren't too tight. Love the neckline. There's a zip pocket on the back that I'm not crazy about, I guess for your phone if you're out and about or at the beach? Awkward place for a pocket, maybe it's just supposed to be a cute detail.

I wish I had gotten two. UPF 50+. Don't know if all Costcos have them. They're on hanging racks, not the tables.

Re: Rash Guards At Costco

[ Edited ]

Rashguards were typically worn by individuals around the water; surfing, life guards, boating, etc, to protect against skin abrasion, hence the name "rashguard".  So the pocket in the back is a good place to keep things out of the way.  Good sun protection without the weight.  Definitely not a fashion item.

Thank you so much for the heads up. I wear a rash guard when I'm at the beach or on the boat. So much easier and cooler than worrying about sunscreen constantly. I will certainly make a trip to my Costco to check for them.

I need to see if our store has them, thx for posting @Greeneyedlady21. What we saw in our store last week on racks, big display -  ready to wear men's suits!

This is the one I got, Amazon has it for $42.99! They have the identical Costco selection. Light green, coral, and a black print. Those are $30 on Amazon.

Do people wear these in AND out of the water?  It's a concept I'm not familiar with!  DUH!!  LOL!

Thanks for the tip.  I own two rash guards from Lands End, one with long sleeves and one with elbow length sleeves. I wear a rash guard about 4-5 days a week and would like a few more.

i use them so i don't get sunburned on the boat and I swim in them too.  I refuse to get burnt... ever again.  My long sleeve one is really pretty and I have worn it with white pants without my swim suit if I am going to be outdoors all day.

Yes and they keep you cool when they're wet. I don't need the sun on my arms and I hate reapplying sunblock.

Dang I was just at Costco and I never look at the hanging clothes. I will have to go back and check to see if they have them at mine. I use Rashguards at work all the time so I like to have a variety. I also like to wear them when I go paddle boarding and when I go to the beach. Thanks for the heads up!
