Keep in mind, Linda that I missed out on the estate sale one. When I spotted this one off I went on an hour drive to the antique center.
I'm glad your DH's bedsore and heel are much improved.
R's right knee is acting up and he has trouble walking. First of the week I'll have him call the VA clinic and see about a referral for X-Ray and orthopedics. The new access door was installed on the garage this afternoon. Griff was disappointed to lose access to the garage.
Both Rusty and Toby went to the vet this morning. Luckily I managed to get both of them. I couldn't find Toby till I opened a tin of food.. Rusty is almost 16 pounds and Toby 12. You can see why a 25+ pound Spot bowls Toby over. Spot happily runs up to Toby and poor Toby staggers.
It's very hot today, Barbara. You have a long drive ahead of you. Good that you'll be able to do laundry.
Such sad news regarding the shooting at the newspaper.

Good morning...I am trying to pace myself while packing..it is not a big packing ordeal but those dance duffels are huge. Good luck to v. Lol
it remains very hot and humid..v finally got the watering system running correctly. My neighbor is going to water the container flowers and hanging baskets. I am going to start on prednisone tomorrow so I will be functional.
Claudia, I forgot that cats can get that big. I think pepper is down to a pretty good weight. Too bad about rs knee.
Linda..hope Dh is better today and that you are serving the heat.
i need to run to the nank.
i will not post tomorrow since we will be on the rosd

Sorry about R's knee, Claudia. Good that you were able to get two cats taken to the vets and the access door to the garage is done.
Hope your long drive goes okay, Barbara. Good idea to take the prednisone. Glad you don't have too take too much since the duffel bags are so big.
DH's DD was telling me that his oldest DGD has to take quite a bit of stuff to her dance camp (not correct name) in Austin. She is flying, and will need to check a bag since they require bringing lots of toe shoes, supplies for the dorm room, etc. She has an early flight, and they will need to leave home at 4:00 a.m. The younger girl is going to music camp for a week starting on Monday. They will drive her there since it is in CA (north, but not too far). She is a bit nervous, but apparently loves playing the violin.
It is hot here, but a little less than normal again -- high 90's. No chance of rain today. It should be warming up again starting tomorrow, but I don't think we are expecting any record heat. I had a nice swim yesterday afternoon.
DH was sleepy today, but he was pretty good and ate his usual yogurt and shake plus some pudding. I managed to get him to drink a little water as well.
One of the ladies (I think she has Parkinson's Disease) just started on hospice yesterday, and they brought a bed, new wheelchair, etc. Her husband had a seatbelt for her old wheelchair, but the new one does not have one. And, she tried to stand up while I was there. Then, her husband came out from her room to say that he was disappointed that they took away the seatbelt since she had gotten up and fallen out already. She did not hurt herself, but...... The caregiver told him that seatbelts were not legal, and she could not do anything about it, but he could try talking to the director on Monday.
I wondered how they got away with putting a seatbelt on her since I knew several people, including DH at one time, who fell out of wheelchairs, but were not allowed to have the seatbelt. I know the law is in place to prevent abuse, but sometimes it is difficult to watch your loved ones fall, etc.
My laundry is going, and I'll start my weekly financial review in a little while.
Have a safe and good trip, Barbara. Hope both of you have a nice evening!
Hugs,
Linda

it's hot here. 98° degrees when I last looked. I did errands early in the day and I'm hoping not to mow until we get a cooler day. TT has been shedding ever since his last grooming. Every time I look there's more black fur. I need to brush him out again but then Griffyn wants brushed. Meanwhile the upstairs cats line up each morning to be brushed all except Miss Boots who is horrified at the very thought. Pippen while he's limited to the spare room also wants brushed. I think there should be two or three of me.
Barbara, I hope the prednisone really helps. Safe travels. What a lot of luggage you'll have on this trip.
I'm glad your DH had a pretty good day, Linda. It's too bad the lady with Parkinson's fell but at least she didn't get hurt. I know as you do the law against seatbelts is to prevent abuse but the question then is how to prevent injuries from falling.
Your DH's granddaughters certainly are busy.
I need to water the plants now that it's evening. I found a sheer shirt that will work over a sleeveless dress I plan to take to the reunion. Starting my list of what to pack. Have a good evening.
