Re: QVC Fashion Prices - Venting

I do better shopping at Macy's even Nordstrom sometimes. Many times QVC has outpriced my budget. I seem to get better quality and prices shopping at other places.

Also Walmart for your basic tees. They cost 3-4 and change and they are good quality. I don’t like prints or logos or sayings on my shirts. Also Lands End and LlBean have good basic pants and are top quality. Lands end is always running 40% off sales. If you go this route than you could probably treat yourself to a more expensive item.

Yes thank you these prices are outrageous.......

consider how cheap polyester/ spandex / rayon are to make. It's all about the profit.

besides these materials are unhealthy to wear every day.

Upper income and more affluent buyers are not shopping at QVC. I regret paying for for something that is manufactured in China for QVC. The same manufacturers in China are probably making apparel for Amazon and selling for less.

The prices here at the qvc are out of hand.No way would I spend these horrible prices to buy a item.Usually if I do buy it's on sale, right now my closets are full of clothes,so ai really don't need a thing,There was a day it was just fun to watch on tv the items for sale, now it's just not to my liking.I have many items that I bought still good to wear an like.

Re: QVC Fashion Prices - Venting

Honestly the prices here are way high and those who say they are comparable to high end dept stores have to face the fact that department stores are floundering. So may brick and mortar have closed already so obviously somethng is wrong and that is probably the inflated prices. Most cannot afford to buy and if you are buying then your bills are probably out of contol. if you are the lucky few in the top 10% that can afford these outrageous prices good for you.

Re: QVC Fashion Prices - Venting

I so agree with the poster who stated even if you can afford it, smart shopping is the best. I shop a lot Northsrtrum, Lands End J jill Maceys the loft etc. The prices on QVC are higher then most. I do look for sales, but t dont understand why they are so high at the Q  I check the sales at other stores the items are much cheaper. They do have some nice items but the prices are way out of line.. I feel bad because I would buy clothes from the Q but cant justify the prices on the clothing, shipping and cost to return..

Re: QVC Fashion Prices - Venting

Today, I was researching items I would like to purchase, i.e. sweaters and jeans, I found many items that had been reduced substantially. IMHO, I think that when an item sits for awhile or they have too much inventory, the prices are reduced. Just FYI.

Have not purchased out and about clothes from qvc in some time. I have purchased pajamas as gifts, but nothing for me or anyone else as far as outside wear. Stopped years ago when the quality of the clothes was going down and the prices were going up. You can get better quality elsewhere along with better pricing. It seems QVC will continue to flounder until they start listening to their customers which they have not been doing for some years. No, not all retail is doing. As poorly as QVC. They should check into how the other retailers are doing it. It just might help.

@OKPrincess

I recently purchased a 100% cotton DKNY crewneck in black from Dillards. Oh I had forgotten about pure cotton's feel and substance! I wish I had this one in every color!

I agree...if items sit for a time and are not purchased, then I believe the price drops.

Some what has already been discussed I have had same thoughts. It seemed that retailers were in panic mode after COVID isolation b/c people had not been buying. To me, it seemed there wasn't much to purchase. Then retailers were overstocked and the prices dropped drastically. Now they seem to have cleared out the unsold and raised prices nearly DOUBLE what we were paying for similar items!

So here we consumers are, looking at our "beat-up budgets"! I was spoiled by shopping before the pandemic for sure!
