@FancyPhillyshopper What a great find. I actually like Isaac's much more.

To me those two blazers aren't alike in any way except that they both have a design pattern on them. I wouldn't be inclined to even compare those two.

ETA-

I used to be a seamstress. Looking at that Etro blazer I noticed the pattern placement on each of the sleeves is not symmetrical to one another. That makes it appear off kilter to the eye. Same goes for the lapel pattern placement. For that price you would think they would be symmetrical.

The design placement is not meant to be symmetrical. That's the point of the design.

Not cookie cutter.

@ellaphant

That did cross my mind after I wrote my response. Guess we'll never really know for sure unless we ask the designer. But I still like symmetry and it does take more fabric, effort and time to create symmetry in patterns for garments. "Cookie cutter" is just that...just cut and sew w/o any real thought about pattern placement.

There is no comparison of these 2 jackets. What matters is if you like your IM jacket, not what someone else will say about the comparison.

I don't think they are trying to compare themselve with Walmart prices either.  I think maybe they are trying to be pricewise comparable to Macy's or something like this.  However, I think Macy's or Marshall's or Kohl's or these places - they have much better sales, etc., especially if you can go to the actual stores.  As for Walmart, I never used to buy any clothing from Walmart as I thought --- it is all cheap junk -- but I have in the last few years purchased quite a few items and found them to be pretty good quality -- especially for every day items.
