This post is for those who complain about QVC prices. QVC is NOT trying to compete with Walmart, or K-Mart, or any other similar bargain throw-away clothes store.
Yes, I bought the QVC jacket--just as stylish and well-made. Thank you, Isaac!
Neiman Marcus Etro blazer -- $2350.00
QVC-- Isaac Mizrahi Blazer--$70.99

I never thought they were trying to compete with Walmart pricing but they are surpassing prices on Talbots, Ann Taylor, JNY and Nordy with quality that is much lower. Styling, fabrication, S/H and return costs if needed are quite high. I ordered a dress from JNY that was normally $140, it was on sale for $38.79, I did not mind paying $8 for s/h. Quite a different story than a 'sale' price on Q.

I like both blazers. Certainly wouldn't pay the price of the first one, but it is pretty! Isaac's is very nice also.

To me the pictures of those 2 blazers don't compare. The one from NM looks much more expensive. Issac's is very nice, the important thing is you enjoy. Wal Mart has very nice, well made fun and beautiful clothes for fabulous prices. Their Free Assembly is great. It is nice we can each find somethingwe are pleased with.

What a great Isaac jacket @FancyPhillyshopper ! Hope you enjoy it and get lots of compliments. I believe you will.
I like Isaac's clothing and have several in my closet.

Looking at a tailored jacket and one from Issac the higher quality is obvious.

@FancyPhillyshopper I am glad that you found an Isaac jacket that you like and hope you enjoy it in good health, but there is no comparison between these items. Honestly, I don't like the Etro jacket at all, but the difference in the quality is apparent and substantial. I don't think QVC ever intended its Isaac jacket to compete with the Etro one. Different customers shop for these 2 items. I don't think the same person would wear both.
The Isaac jacket is a printed polyester, whereas the Etro is a brocade, where the fabric design is made by using threads of different colors interwoven in such a way that it creates a texture. The brocade material in the Etro has more body, just by its nature. The design of the Etro fabric has much more intricate lines than Isaac's. Isaac's material is a simple floral, repeating pattern, while the Etro is a more intricate paisley floral design, with a a much larger number of colors than Isaac's. I don't see any repetition in the pattern, except for perhaps the sleeves, which somewhat mirror each other. The foil printed on the Isaac jacket is certain to fade. While both jackets are I think made of polyester, the difference in the quality and cost of the fabric is, I am certain, substantial. No spandex in the Etro jacket, so more tailoring is required. The cut is different. The lapels are different. The shoulders are different. The buttons in the Etro are custom. The linings are different. The Etro was made in Italy, we don't know where the Isaac jacket was made.
I don't see any similarities between the jackets, but honestly, why does that matter?
I don't see the need for this comparison, and maybe I shouldn't have done it. I need sleep I think. I do like beautiful fabrics.
If you like your jacket, I hope you enjoy it. But not because it has anything to do with the Etro jacket, which it doesn't.
