The only but is that with the Q, you can not only try it on, but you can actually wear it and then (if needed) return it.

Most other stores it can't be worn and must still have the tags. So on some level, I guess the $3 they keep is a "rental" fee for having and using the item for a month.

I realize that many of us, take it out of the bag and it's too big or too something, but sometimes, it's on the edge, it fits but am I sure I like it and look good in it, so I wear it.

Same with cosmetics - you can use a product for a couple of weeks and return what's left which they have to toss (at least I hope they do!).

As for the answer to the question, like other posters, I am still buying, but am much more careful. I am much more cognizant of reading reviews, checking the size charts (for every garment), I do everything I can to help insure it will fit and I will like it.

I hate the fact we have to pay the original shipping fee plus the return fee. I want to purchase more but this policy really puts the brakes on purchasing. Clothing is my preferred purchase but pants are so hard to get right.....can't buy too many now with this policy. I just sent back some returns. Just return the original shipping fee and I can live with the 6.95 return cost and buy more items.

The new return policy is simply OUT OF TOUCH. The Q must think they are the only place in town?

I want to bring to everyone's attention that if you return a defective item, or mislabeled for size item, that the system according to a C/S Rep I spoke with yesterday, automatically returns your cost of item MINUS the $3 S&H fee. You need to contact C/S (I did via phone) to request that they refund the additional S&H back to your method of payment.

I returned shoes that the stitching was coming apart and was refunded the total cost.  I used their label since it was defective. This was handled correctly.

In the future I will be hesitant to order shoes.  In the past if you exchanged for another size it did not cost extra, but if it is because of size issues that you make an exchange it  will be our cost to make that exchange. That also applies if you exchange fashions.  So I hesitate to order a new designer or a new style or a shoe style I don't already own.  I saw a pair of shoes I liked but when I read the reviews some said they fit true to size, but many said were too long and had to size down. Needless to say I did not order them.

I returned a skirt in my normal size small that was too large which I exchanged for the the xsmall and was charged the cost of the return label plus the $3 shipping fee. I phoned customer service who felt that was not their fault.  So it cost an additional 9.95 to get the right size. in the past they would have exchanged and not charged your return shipping and original shipping.

This cautions me from ordering as much.  Sometimes it is not worth the 9.95 to try. I shop at brick and mortar stores more.

I returned a defective garment using their label. I phoned customer service who told me that as long as the defective box was checked that I should not be charged. I was charged 9.95.  The person I talked with first adjusted the 6.95 label charge, and I had to insist on the $3. original shipping. This took a phone call to correct.

I received fashion jewelry which was not  packaged well and was separate from the original jewelry box in the mailer and returned as defective and this time the entire amount was refunded. This was handled correctly.

It depends upon the person who works there.

I hardly ever have to return because I pretty much stick to the designers that I know what size to order and it fits unless they go to the numeric sizing which is what happened with the Linea maxi because I couldn't figure out what size the plus size was modeling and she had a jacket covering the maxi so I ordered my regular size and a size up.  I like the fit of my regular size so I returned the other size and they refunded me $46.33 I think which was the cost of the dress less the $6.95 using their label.  The other incident was I ordered gardening gloves and they sent me two left hand gloves which was a mistake on their part so they refunded me the entire cost and think the original order was free s&h.  I couldn't get an exchange because it was a clearance item that had sold out.
