It sounds like she will fit right in. Around here the big thing is kids wearing shorts and flip-flops in the dead of winter.

And then they complain because school is not cancelled because it is below zero. Many of our students do not wear actual coats to school. Just sweatshirts.For some, it is possible that they do not have a coat. For others, it is just that big warm coats are not cool.

LOL when my ex and I were looking for our first house, I left early from work in MA and drove up to meet him and the realtor in an icy, snowy development in New Hampshire to look at new homes.

I was wearing a thin dress and coat and high-heels. It was December and the wind was whipping. The Realtor sort of had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. I was 25. I just didn't worry about the weather back then. But I looked cute!

Those were the days huh? LOL!!!!

If she got boots, she'd probably select the open-toe model. They are the height of ridiculous fashion.

I live in Ohio and I see women wearing open-toed shoes and bare legs all the time in the dead of winter. It looks ridiculous and their beet red, goosebump covered legs don't look very fashionable which is what they are going for buy refusing to wear appropriate legwear in the dead of winter. But they think they look good. {#emotions_dlg.blink}

Didn't you know red goose bumpy legs are in!! lol
