After being so tired of seeing PR on air seemingly every time I turned on the Q, I'm in the market to replace my old readers and find their sizes are limited to mostly "0" strength with the exception of what I suppose are new models. I did like when they first started selling that the prices were somewhat lower than most but seems what they offer are now $30/pair. The selling point for them was the price, I don't like them enough to pay $30. Back to the drugstore brands...

@Carolina925 Check out the as-is.  I've purchased some really nice well made ones for around $11.  They are good enough to get prescription lenses put in and saved me a lot of $$ from getting frames from the eye doctor.

They're the best readers I've ever owned!  I bought the blu-light blocking ones and they eliminated my eye strain.  They are also more durable than any others I've had.  So many of mine the screws would come out after a short time.  And I can't tell you how many times I've dropped them - they haven't broken.  I'm apparently pretty tough on my readers - I highly recommend the PR brand.

@FranandZoe    I agree.  They are sturdy.  I am so hard on my readers.  I sit on the, step on them and they never break.  I love my PR readers.  I have several pair abd I have many, pairs of their sunglasses

My fit-over sunglasses are terrific. They block out more rays than my prescription sunglasses. The polarized lenses are worth the price. I only wear them for short periods of time like going to do curbside pickup or another errand. Two pairs of eyewear tend to put pressure on my ears on longer trips.

I am not seeing my exact fit-overs available currently. I would like a back-up pair just in case. I have an $80 pair from my optometrist that I do not use because Prive Revaux is much better.

I have a pair of PR polarized sunglasses which are very good.

61% of Prive Revaux was sold to Italian eyeglass company Safilo in 2020.

An unusual related crime story just wrapped up last month. David Schottenstein, of the Columbus, Ohio Schottensteins and one of PR's original founders, got caught doing some insider stock trading deals last year with friends and family. PR was not involved. He made a deal to testify against the others in return for a reduced sentence.

But Schottenstein, who has had longterm mental health issues, was told by his therapist that the stress of turning against his loved ones would reverse the gains he has made in treatment. So he refused to testify.

On March 22 he was sentenced to prison for a year and a day plus five years probation upon release.

I too love Prive Revaux readers! I live in readers and these are the ones I look for when doing any online work or reading. I find the drugstore readers just don't hold a candle to PR for quality. And I usually get many compliments when I wear them, also love my Caddis readers. They don't scratch easily and the lens quality is terrific.

@PickyPicky3  that is really interesting, my DH worked for Schottenstein as HR officer, many years ago. I'm sharing this info with him. They were a very interesting company.

go to their website and sign up for emails.

they often have special deals and coupon codes there.

also, they are often on QVC lunchtime specials, so dont forget to check those daily.

i really like this brand. nice quality at reasonable prices. i was hoping to see a reader or sunglass TSV sometime soon.
