Re: Presenting TSV last night

She has her favorite, Alberti is for sure number one but I really cannot place another right off the top of my head.

I feel that MS is really in her element when it is cookware, servingware or outdoorsy products.  The clothing and accessories vibe is just not her thing.  I recall the Skechers collab she did last year, and that was painful to watch. She did not give a flip.

By the way, I have no issues if she needs to sit for presentations. IM had to because his back was so bad. Gary sits sometimes on longer show days because I think he said he has feet issues or something.  But reading direct from a card? The woman is a straight up perfectionist, and worked her behind off to get where she is. That leads me to my conclusion she does not really care for this extension of the brand.

@nyc1

Time for the ol gal to ride off into the sunset and just enjoy her life. No need to peddle items she isn’t even familiar with on a shopping channel. She has worked her behind off and it’s time she reaps what she accomplished. I’m not a fan of her and never was but if it’s too much trouble for her to get a handle on her Q offerings, then perhaps it’s time.

Re: Presenting TSV last night

Didn't she say that she was in CA on Monday, AZ on Tuesday, and NYC on Wednesday and Thursday, then on Friday in CT for the opening of her new restaurant? She needs to cut back and focus on fewer endeavors at her age. It was clear she was exhausted and not into selling this TSV.

Re: Presenting TSV last night

I think it's very cool that she's 84 and is still on TV selling!.....even if she's not all that good on air, I kinda respect her doing it. I'm about 20 years behind her and I intend to keep going strong like her, too.

I see nothing cool about doing something you are no longer capable of doing. She is elderly and that is not something to be ashamed of, but be realistic and honest about what you are able to do well at whatever your age.

Re: Presenting TSV last night

I have noticed Martha has not been herself for the past few times she has been at QVC,

She holds on when standing and looks disoriented at times and is not nearly as sharp as she was about a year ago.

She is 84  and it could be just that. I think she looks fantastic for her age.

Maybe all this work is getting to be too much for her.

It is obvious when she is uncomfortable in any way because she plays silent to the host and there is never a smile to be seen.

Re: Presenting TSV last night

I think it was way past Martha's bedtime. Or so it seemed. I'm another one who is not a big fan and never has been. Why is it that some celebs can't just retire? I'm sure she has more money than she can ever spend. If she's bored, there are lots of other things she can do to keep busy.

Personally, she comes off as an entitled snob. JMO

I don't watch the shows anymore but from some of these comments I looked up Items Recently on Air. Martha looks totally bored to me and tired...the passion I remember from her for her products and whatever is no longer there. Smiley Frustrated

Re: Presenting TSV last night

I watched last night and felt so sorry for Courtney, she might as well have presented alone. Martha was disengaged. She stayed seated because of her age, long time to stand in one spot. I just tuned in to she if she was any better, she is chatting it up, even stood up with Amy S.

Re: Presenting TSV last night

Doing a show with Martha as a guest is like doing a monolog.   She adds nothing; you wonder why she even showed up.  The most anyone, including Martha, could say about the TSV was that it was soft...over and over.
