" "Freeway of Love" is a Grammy Award-winning hit song released as the first single from Aretha Franklin's Platinum-certified 1985 album Who's Zoomin' Who? produced by Narada Michael Walden. It was one of 1985's biggest hits in the United States, reaching the #3 position of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and topping the Hot R&B Singles chart for five weeks (from July 27, 1985 to August 24, 1985). "

"We goin' ridin' on the freeway of love Wind's against our backs We goin' ridin' on the freeway of love In my pink Cadillac We goin' ridin' on the freeway of love Wind's against our back Ain't we ridin' on the freeway of love In my pink Cadillac? "

Bruce Springsteen song  1984 " Pink Cadillac " on the Born in USA album

" You may think I'm foolish For the foolish things I do You may wonder how come I love you When you get on my nerves like you do Well baby you know you bug me There ain't no secret 'bout that Well come on over here and hug me Baby I'll spill the facts Well honey it ain't your money 'Cause baby I got plenty of that I love you for your pink Cadillac Crushed velvet seats Riding in the back Oozing down the street Waving to the girls Feeling out of sight Spending all my money On a Saturday night Honey I just wonder what you do there in back Of your pink Cadillac Pink Cadillac"

 another verse :

"Now some folks say it's too big And uses too much gas Some folks say it's too old And that it goes too fast But my love is bigger than a Honda It's bigger than a Subaru Hey man there's only one thing And one car that will do Anyway we don't have to drive it Honey we can park it out in back And have a party in your pink Cadillac "

I always yearned for the '50s era little Thunderbird with the "porthole" window, in pink.  Never got one.

Yes.  Probably, Ford's best for Thunderbird.

@Foxxee    It was a far cry from the green VW Beetle that was what I actually got.  Dad was a fan.

I did get a big Thunderbird in the late 70s but it was navy and tan and it wasn't cute.

@Kachina624   that model 'Bird is my favorite - a '57.(i like all 3 of the 2-seater years)

when i was 17 i saw a '55 that had a for sale sign. i talked to the college age kid who owned it .

asking was $1500 but my Dad said NO you can't get parts for it. (it was 20 yrs old).   i thought he meant body parts!
