I'm looking for a dressier pant and I thought Ponte might be it. Who's Ponte pant would you recommend? I want a relaxed fit, not to slim of a leg. I tried the duo stretch by denim & Co and they are nice but feel more like a legging.

Any suggestions?

@xryretriever @Big Joanie

Do you have a Cato's in your area? I have bought several pairs of ponte pants from them. I have a brown pair with matching blazer and a ivory pair. I love the pant set since I can add bright colors under the brown neutral.I go to a lot of small venues for plays and string quartets. I feel dressy but comfortable. Of course,the ivory goes with everything. If you do have a store nearby,you can have your purchases sent to the nearby store at no charge. That way,I can try them on and retun if needed.

I like the cut of the pants since I carry my weight in my hips and thighs. They do have slimmer cuts and leggings but I stick with the straight leg. They also wash and wear with no problems too.

I like the Belle ponte pants I purchased last spring.  Nice quality and fit in my usual size for Belle.  I believe they were straight leg.

I tried Kim Gravel's ponte pants and didn't like them. They fit like leggings and the fabric was cheap. I do like (and wear) Susan Graver's ponte pants. They're a great weight and shaped better.

@xryretriever I own 2 pairs of Colleen Lopez Ponte pants (845-077) on HSN.  They are perfect fitting, wash beautifully and are flattering.  She also has some other pairs, most are on clearance right now!  Happy shoppingSmiley Happy

I bought some from Kim Gravel and thought the fabric was super cheap and icky. Susan Graver's ponte is really nice. Also, if you can afford them, Eileen Fisher makes the very best, in my humble opinion.

@xryretriever  -  If you want to consider Susan Graver, here's one.  I don't own this,  but it's on my radar.

I have both and Susan Gravers were a heavier Ponte than Gravels; at least in the ones I bought. I actually liked both.

Great question.  My favorite black pants are Women With Control, very flattering and comfortable.

However, they don't have pockets, which I find annoying.

I'm needing a pair of black slacks with pockets, so am glad you asked ....
