Pedal Pushers are Puckering

I live in the Denim and Co side pocket, pedal pushers in the warm weather and the same style trousers when it turns cool. I am finding lines of puckering in these products. I wash in warm water and line dry. Anyone else having these issues? Anyone have a suggestion to extend the life of my favorite bottoms?
