As a Gothic person, I bought this in black. Going to sew up the front and create a dress and wear a long black slip under it. Will wear with my lace up Victorian boots. It looks pretty, I hope it is, if not I will send it back. I have never bought anything from her.

@darkhomespun I think this will be perfect for what you describe. I hope there is enough material to get a seam up the front, because it would be such a disappointment if it doesn't work for you. I think the sleeves give exactly the look you are going for. Post a picture when you are done, please. Would love to see it

I would sew over a bias seam tape so the stitches will hold better.

It's a beautiful duster but how are you going to finish the neckline?

I think you can do an easy conversion with this one or simply wear a black slip dress underneath and use it for both purposes: dress and duster.  It has buttons all the way up the front

I wanted this duster since I saw it last year but thought it was too expensive.  Thanks for posting I would of never seen it at the clearance price.
