Just wanted to say, Pat looks BEAUTIFUL this morning in the white pants and pink top! I know she always says black is her comfort zone, and I can relate, but she looks particularly nice today. Just proves that sometimes your "comfort zone" isn't necessarily your only or best choice.

How true! I know I am guilty of this. I reach continually for a pair of black pants, in one form or another. Really, they are a good choice and look good in any occasion. But --- we should try and keep in mind that there are other choices out there! In my older age, I have tended to go more conservative than what I would normally like, but feel "age appropriate." I should follow my heart more and go with what I really love ---- to a reasonable degree! LOL!

I totally agree. I am very aware of the age appropriate issue, but sometimes I think,"if not now, when?". I always try to straddle the line between looking youthful and a bit trendy without looking like I'm wearing my granddaughters clothes.

I find it impossible sometimes (mostly in B&M stores) to find age appropriate clothes. It seems so many stores cater to the younger shorts and flip flop crowd.

I usually combat that w/ neutral colors, more tailored pieces, but brighter accessories.

Some women may think that's a fashion rut, but for me, I have saved a lot of $ on things I wear one season & give away because the style/color look dated.
