I don't have to worry about DH doing anything like that. He knows I would not be a happy camper LOL!!!
I don't think he would organize my stuff anyways.

Compression bags are not the same as packing cubes.
Compression is great when storing heavy clothing during the off seasons, but not the best for packing for a vacation.
Packing cubes and envelopes keep clothing from rolling all over the place and getting wrinkled. Everything fits in a suitcase like a game of Tetris. You can pack more into a smaller space and it keeps everything organized.
Compression sucks the air out of the bags and wrinkles clothing. Often, you can't find a way to suck the air out before the trip home. The ones you roll up to remove the air have a habit of leaking.
You could use one if you had to pack a ski jacket, but for everyday vacation clothing....no way.
I have been using packing cubes and the folding envelopes for at least 25 years. Mine have been all over Asia, Europe and the US. I can pack a months worth of clothing into one suitcase and never need an iron. Most of my clothing is 100% cotton. I also use them in our RV.
I use the compression bags to store pillows, blankets and comforters in the RV, but would I ever use them to pack my clothing for vacation. They are good to use at home for storing clothing and linens.

The compression packing cubes are totally different from the plastic bags that you use a vacuum to suck the air out of. I was confused at first about them too. The compression packing cubes have two zippers and once you pack the cube you close both zippers and it flattens the cube out. They look like regular packing cubes, same sizes, but have two zippers. No pulling the air out...just flattening the cube into a more compact space. I use for things that don't matter if they wrinkle and for one outfit that I put into my personal bag that I carry on the plane. It doesn't take up as much room in your bag.
