Re: Packing Cubes- Husband Rant

@cheriere   My Pretty Woman thigh high boots story must've in a packing cube in my mind Smiley Very Happy!  I definitely envision myself in movies I love- Flashdance, Pretty Woman, Footloose, A Night in Heaven, Dirty Dancing! I watch these movies and think, "what if I could be her? What if I could be with him?" Smiley Very Happy  I remember looking at the thigh high boots on Aldo's website that day on the leggy, tall fashion model and thinking, "Add to shopping cart- those will look just like that on me Smiley LOL" Thank you- I bet you'd look hot in those boots, especially since you're tall at 5'8" Smiley Happy.  I hold onto some items for a long time in my closet- I still have Halloween costumes from college in there!

    Oh yes- internet shopping after movie watching is so tempting- especially now when I can google, "Jacket that actress wore in that movie" and it comes up somehow.  I don't know how the internet or online shopping works in terms of the technology, but they sure are amazing inventions!

Re: Packing Cubes- Husband Rant

@SportyShorty07 @cheriere I love my VB duffle bags.  I have one that I always used as my carry on for air travel.  I could put everything I needed for the weekend in it and still have room for my lunch.

I have a different one that is more a dome shape that I keep packed as my go bag.  I wound up in the hospital unexpectedly some years ago and my brother had to go to the house and figure out what I needed for the week I was there.  After that I decided I would not do that again, so I packed a bag and it's on the floor in the closet.  I change it over depending on the weather!  LOL Hoping I won't need it ever again but having someone, especially my brother, having to rummage around trying to figure out what I needed was not fun.

@GinaV24  Yes! Another Vera Bradley fan! Those duffle bags are so great- cute designs, built to last, soft, collapsible and easy to fold.  They're perfect for carryons and I love how once they're full of clothes, I can use them as a pillow for my back if I have to sit on the floor against a wall in a crowded airport Smiley Happy. You are so smart to pack a duffle bag ahead of time and change the clothes each season in case of emergencies.  I hope that you don't have to use your emergency duffle bag and wish you great health Smiley Happy.  I'll give an A for effort to your brother for having to try to figure out outfits for you to wear and things to bring- it couldn't have been easy to try to figure that out even with your great directions on what to bring  Smiley Happy

@I am still oxox,

Compression cubes are packing cubes, but there is a 2nd zipper.  You can pack more items in the cube.  The 2nd zipper will compress the items so it packs more tighter.

And you can fit more "stuff"!Woman LOL

Oh Ladies,

I must let you know that I work part time at our local Vera Bradley outlet.  I have enough VB to last me quite a while.  We get an additional 25% discount at the outlet and 50% off in the retail store.  Dangerous!

I also purchase VB for my 3 year old great niece.  For Easter, I got her the Belle (Beauty and the Beast) blanket.  We were watching TV Saturday night and she said to me "Thank you for my Belle blanket.  I love it."  I thought my heart was going to burst.Heart

@roeroe1005  Wow! I've always wanted to go to a Vera Bradley outflet! That is such a  cool job- you get to be around beautiful and stylish Vera Bradley bags each day, help people make selections, and converse with firendly Vera Bradley fans and you get a fabulous employee discount!  I'd be so tempted to spend a ton on Vera Bradley if I worked there. When I was a sales associate at Coach handbags I went nuts with my employee discount for the first month or two- good times Smiley Very Happy.

    That is such a lovely and sweet Easter gift for your little 3 year old great niece! My heart could burst with the tenderness of your little sweetie great niece thanking you for her Belle Beauty and The Beast blanket Smiley Very HappyHeart! That is so very cute! She'll think of you whenever she sits or sleeps in that blanket- wonderful gift!

Re: Packing Cubes- Husband Rant

The compression cubes are good, but if you are flying or carrying your bag you need to watch the weight of the bag. You can get more in the cube though and I always use a few mixed in with regular ones.

And there are many patterns for the compression cubes that are very pretty. I like to use different colors for each family member when we used to take family trips. And you can place the "cube" in a drawer or a shelf and don't have to unpack the contents. Makes repacking easy!

@I am still oxox   Oh boy, my husband would be in deep dodo if he messed with my drawers/closet or anything else.  I am a neat nick and have things just the way I want them. His drawers are like mine, neat and tidy.
