I just want to stay home!
Does this ever happen to you? I have a list of errands I'd like to accomplish today. Yet I'm nowhere near ready to leave the house and I keep reviewing the list, asking myself if it's really important.
I'm tired from the work week, have battled a headache all morning, and the thought of staying home in my lounge clothes to read, nap and putter around the house sounds wonderful. Yet there's the guilt for not being productive!
I should note that I can do some – but not all – of the errands tomorrow after church.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who prefers to stay home!

I know how you feel, and, no, you're NOT the only one feeling like this. Too many people are overworked and overstressed and overtired, and just need to get some rest. Take it easy and take care of yourself.

I suggest you give yourself permission for an all day "pajama day"! I do this once in a while, and it's a treat. Enjoy a day off; we all deserve one once in a while.

I don't like going out in the mornings ... reminds me too much of when I had to get up, dressed and rush off to work. I have no problem getting out around noon time. I like a leisurely breakfast and long bubble bath. My retirement "treat."
Today, I have some place I need to be mid-afternoon. It's raining and I have a four-block walk to get to my destination. I don't like rain and puddles.
Re church: we have Mass on Saturday evening, Sunday mornings (3) and Sunday Evening ... works for everyone's personal "clock."

Do not feel guilty. I feel this way often on Saturdays and have "indulged" myself by doing the most essential errands after church on Sunday. I take Saturday as MY DAY. Unwinding is essential to good health.
Sometimes, to ease my load, I attend a church other than my own (which is located quite a distance from my home) that is only 10 minutes away. Also, when I am very exhausted from my week, I do not attend any church services. Yes, I'm aware that this is the last thing that should be eliminated, but it does happen more often now as I've gotten older and had some health issues. My expected weekly attendance has become a thing of the past.
I do the best I can.
[To be clear, my weekly attendance at my church is a thing of the past. Lately, a Catholic priest has seen me almost as often as my own Greek Orthodox priest.]

Congrats! It's the greatest thing "since sliced bread."

Take some time to de-stress. Nothing is worse than working 5 days a week and then working around the house all weekend!
I have errands to run but woke up to rain/snow mix this morning with a great sinus headache! Made some coffee, read the news online. Took a hot bath.
I'll be ready to head out. When my coffee is done.

It is rainy and nasty today. But it is washing the snow away!
