Mistakes (everywhere) seem more and more common. You have to check everything anymore. Most of it (IMHO) is incompetence. There are some instances of blatant thievery but most is lack of caring, lack of appropriate schooling and in some cases just a general lack of intelligence. Which is very sad.
By the way, when I return something to the Q, even though I've checked the right box, I rarely receive notification that it's been received. The Q used to be so competent regarding all this.....

With everything being computerized you have to be your own watchdog. Its just a sign of the times and not just QVC.

On 1/20/2015 Chi-town girl said: Yes, same thing happened to me also. I recently returned multiple items under the extended holiday return policy. Noticed several were "short credited". Called CS, and the rep was great. Told me that the Q computer system did not recognize the holiday extended time for returns for 2 out of my 5 returns-all returned in one carton-which resulted in the short credits, aged b/c it was past 30 days from purchase date. No problem-she issued the 2 additional credits, took about 5 min on the phone.
I understand mistakes, but if the Q computer did not recognize the holiday extended times, QVC should first correct their computer program and then alert their customers. Can you imagine how many do not bother checking refunds, etc.

I check everything that has to do with my finances... I always check my QVC returns refunds to my credit cards, making sure the amounts are correct and that return shipping has not been charged if the item was defective. I've only had to call once about that in the last several years. I don't think they would do anything on purpose, but anyone can make a mistake. I ordered a laptop from QVC, and requested Easy Pay, then almost immediately decided to cancel it, but in three days they couldn't get it canceled so it shipped. When it did, I found out they had charged the entire amount on my credit card instead of the first Easy Pay payment. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper and I let them know about it... I got an immediate credit for the full amount.
I check all my credit card statements, my bank statements, IRA's etc. I had a bank lose a deposit once, and thankfully I had a paper receipt to show that I had made the deposit. I also walked into the bank one day, which I don't do often, and while there made a payment on a line of credit. It never showed up as a payment, but it was deducted from my checking account. I kept calling, and they couldn't figure out for four days what happened to that payment, and it was not a small one! I had waited longer than usual to make the payment, and during that four days, they charged me a late fee for not making my payment on time! They finally found it and credited it where it was supposed to go, with the appropriate payment date, and reversed the late fee.
So banks do make mistakes, as does QVC or any other company, sometimes they're small mistakes, but sometimes they're big ones!
