$10 bucks is the most I will pay for a tank or a T.  Good grief, it's just a "body cover" in the blazing HOT weather.

Walmart's are now "too skimpy",  so I have turned to Amazon...

I noticed that, too!  I needed a couple of tanks to wear under a couple flimsy tops of mine and they had quite a few but all of them were made of a very tight knit and had thin straps, etc.  I did not care for them at all.  One I purchased, I had go up about 4 sizes just  thinking it would stretch enough to cover me.  It was cheap so when I find a better one I probably will just trash it!  Ridiculous!  Not everybody wants a skintight, teensy-weensy tank!  How is that comfortable???

@Desertdi   Amazon has several styles that come in packs of 2 or 3. I prefer cotton ones in the summer.

I've heard of the brand, and I've looked at their pieces online. I saw a few things I liked, but a bit pricey for me.

I don't mind paying more for coats, blazers, dresses, shoes, etc., but I'd rather not pay $100 for one top.

@FancyPhillyshopper

Not all polyester is the same and not all polyster in one store is the same.  At Dillard's I can find great polyester in Black Ralph Lauren and I can find a lower grade in Lauren Rlaph Lauren. If I go to their Investments (their house brand) pants, that is an even lesser grade of polyester.  So, because it is polyester does not mean it is all the same.

Chico's has Traveler's polyester that is a good quality (not as good as Black Ralph Lauren but better than Lauren Ralph Lauren) and they have a much lower quality in pants that are often marked at $39 or $29.

My daughter wears St John's so I know what they cost.  When you pay $2000 for a blazer that she wears twice, my BP went through the ceiling.  She does get a reduced price because she buys "to the trade," but it would cost me $2000.
