no, they are both just a matter of personal taste- can't we express opinions about THINGS without taking it so personally?

Why can't people express an opinion without having to do thoer best to put the person with the other opinion down. saying you are not sophistacated or that what you are bying is cheap dollar store merchandise etc etc is putting down the other person to make you feel you are somehow superior.

No, it isn't..YOU read that into the post- saying you have sophisticated taste is NOT in any way saying you are SUPERIOR- Any more than ssaying you prefer primary colors to pstels says that-
