New Rules / Shipping /Handling

I would not know the rules if I did not read this Forum. How did ladies find out about this new procedure?

Re: New Rules / Shipping /Handling

I think I posted the first thread, or at least I didn't see any under Fashion. I checked my email around noon yesterday and there was this extensive message from QVC - stating the new policy re: shipping/handling.

I checked the forum - didn't see anything about it - so I posted the QVC feeling the pinch? - meaning QVC finally got the customer's message about the high cost. Later I reviewed the message again and said to myself: OUCH for returns this isn't such a great deal - but the $3.00 is.

I gave up on the Q's clothing long time ago - except for D&C pants - so I rarely needed to return kitchen/household items - so I won't get hit much.

Have a nice day

Re: New Rules / Shipping /Handling

I'm disappointed with the new QVC shipping & handling policy and pricing. No discounts for ordering multiple items in same order, combined with no S &H refund if an item is returned results in a HUGE price increase to customers. Naturally it's important to order wisely and keep our products vs returning too much. However, combined with the significant annual product price increases is making QVC a much less affordable, fun shopping experience. I've been a loyal and significant spender with the Q since 2003 so I have observed the trends. Personally, I'd prefer to pay one annual 'subscription' fee to receive significant s & h discounts. Amazon and other major companies have moved to that annual subscription fee methodology successfully. Q executives, growth is good but if your USA customers are paying for a disproportionate amount of your overhead costs incurred from your worldwide operations... you will experience a net loss of customers annually. I'll always enjoy watching and will continue shopping, but I will be spending significantly less going forward due to these s & h and overall excessive price increases. Makes me sad and disappointed.

Re: New Rules / Shipping /Handling

I like the new 3.00 shipping. I am not surprised they stopped refunding our original shipping. I don't know of any other online retailer that does this, and I'm surprised it lasted this long. The return label price is still high, but depending on the product, you might do better just paying at the post office.

I do find it comical that so many complained about shipping before, and now they are complaining about the new shipping. You just can't please some people.

It make me think of the saying "watch what you wish for".

Re: New Rules / Shipping /Handling

I have returned very little over time from the Q. Mostly if I return it is because of a defect or problem, a really big one.... as in wrong item, wrong size (their mistake).

My worst habit is to change my mind immediately and cancel. I know this is a no-no but it certainly does solve the shipping problem.

And there are websites that do return original shipping or do not charge for returns. They are still out there and I make sure I find them.

In clothing it is impossible to predict IF IT WILL REALLY FIT, let alone look good. I do think they should extend the old shipping promise to clothing. They really don't spend time on sizing and they don't seem to care. As for the $3, it is fine with me.

I have a hunch that people will buy less if they think they are IN FOR THE SHIPPING CHARGES BOTH WAYS. Shoppers will be more careful and that will translate into less being sold. Less impulse buying (I no longer watch LIVE). I am too gullible.
