I was looking for a new midi dress online yesterday and came across this one. Could not believe it. Vince Camuto, on clearance at Lord and Taylor for $40. They call it an asymmetrical one sleeve side ruched midi dress.

Re: New Level Of Asymmetrical

I am a symmetrical person and this dress would make my crazy. I would feel unbalanced the whole time I had it on.

My late husband, who was a designer, scoffed at this when we were building our home ( I had to have a window on each side of the fireplace).   But I don't care.  Just the way I feel comfortable.

I've seen this look here and there since the 80's!

I don't care for it myself and also would not feel balanced and comfortable. But it does not bother me if someone else wants to rock it.

Theres something about it that I REALLY like.  If you have the figure, I think it would look stunning. GREAT buy and a Camuto even better.

Re: New Level Of Asymmetrical

I've seen one shoulder dresses and one shoulder tops.  Sleeve interest is all over the place now.  That dress is conservative compared to some single sleeve dresses I've seen.  I don't think I'd combine the two trends;  I wouldn't want a dress with those sleeves AND a ruched bottom.  One trend at a time.

That would seriously drive me nuts! One long sleeve and no sleeve, no.

First thing I thought of looking at that picture:

when i was going thru hot flashes i ended up finally finding 'comfort' one day with one arm in-one arm out of my sweatshirt.

Looked sort of like that.
