The colors of jeans get really strange.  My most recent one is called Romance.  It's actually an iridescent blue. Some  are obvious like Black Scuba,  But a bright Fuchsia in velvet would be called Velvet Victoria. The color names of jeans are the oddest.

The clothing people are taking their cues from the cosmetics people.  A cute name on nail polish may help to sell the color by drawing attention to it.  A cute name on jeans only confuses people.  I've thought for years that it would be so easy to pin a tag on each item that is shown on air with the color name on it.  Then they could keep even Martha happy.  Sometimes those D&C colors go on and on, and it drives me crazy when hosts don't know the correct names.  Its not their fault.
