I shopped last week-the first day.

They would NOT let me use anything other than my Nordstrom's card.

Until the 18th, you can only take advantage of the sales if you use a Nordstrom card. I shopped on Saturday (with my sister who has a Nordstrom card) On the 18th, they will take your credit card, what have you and the price will reflect the sale.

I bought a pair of jeans online for my niece and accidentally used my saved credit card, which is a Mastercard. I received the Anniversary sale price using my Mastercard online. Maybe in the store you must use your Nordstrom card so they can verify you're a Nordstrom cardholder, but online they already know that because you have to log in to your account to see the sale items.

Online I could use my Visa. In the store, they would not let me use my Visa. I even know the salesman in the shoe dept. well. He said he could not allow the Visa. It had to be on my Nordstroms credit card or debit card.

I ordered something Saturday, online, with a Visa. And...it was from the anniv. sale.

Hi Magic--YES...I did. I also bought 3 Zella items--a pair of bootcut leggings, straight leggings and a tank top, 2 Nadri necklaces--one was a personalized nameplate and the other was a really pretty cross necklace (multiple little crosses on it that was in the catalog), and I bought a pair of metallic-looking UGGS. I am trying not to do too much more damage, but I may get one more Nadri piece and a Flowerbomb Anniv. set.

I am doing well. I hope you are getting settled in your new job. I have heard there are some major differences in the workplace between pharma and biotech. Are you finding that to be true? I really admire your ambition, drive (and, of course, intelligence) to make this change. I know you will be a great success!
