Sorry, Sheesh, I don't want to hijack your thread, but I couldn't resist Grace's description of her beautiful RL coat.

GraceCo, your description of your RL black wool trench brought back memories for me. I had a similar coat from Jones NY with a zip out lining that I absolutely loved. The fabric was soft and flowy and it darn near hit my ankles not that crispy fabric in most trench coats. Could depend on it on all but the coldest Upstate NY winter days. It went everywhere with me, London in November twice, France in late October, Italy in January, NYC on many many business trips. It was ruined by a dry cleaner after one trip and I was heart broken. I still despair of that coat and have not been able to find a replacement. I guess they are not 'in style' anymore. Sigh...

Oh, and Sheesh, I vote for the ottoman separates and WK coordinates. Works with tights and flats or killer heels and honkin' jewelry. The grey ottoman with the new charcoal t-neck and the new gunmetal or silver double necklace and a red handbag! Hubba, hubba!

ETA: OMG! I just found it on etsy! be still my heart!

Sammijo, I love your coat, too--very elegant. (Since it's now on Etsy, are you tempted to buy it?) There's something about a near ankle length that's so chic. I'll take of photo of my RL and post it here later...I've had the lining replaced once and it probably needs it again, but it has really held up well. I wish Louis would consider doing an "overcoat" or trench in that longer length. We'd be in heaven!!

(Sorry Sheesh for the hijack...back to normal programming)

I BOUGHT IT! I hemmed and hawed about not really knowing the condition, but I know I paid around $200 for mine brand new and good heavens, I've wasted more than the $59 on stupid face cream that didn't work. This coat was such a gem, I had to have it. So yes, Grace, I did buy it! Black skinny pants (Linea super ponte leggings!) and Audrey Hepburn black ballet flats (or shooties or riding boots when it gets colder) and maybe a beret )or a Joan Crawford cloche?) with this coat and I've found my new uniform.

Sorry, Sheesh again for the hijack. I'll stop now, I promise...

Re: My Linea Packing Challenge

Hey, kids! I'm back from my DC trip---and I have to go back on Sunday night for another 5 nights! No customer meetings this week and none next week---all internal meetings, so did not and do not need a suit.

Here's what I ended up packing/wearing---all fit in the 21" Heys Carry-on.:

Plane trip down (Monday) and back (today, Friday): Olive/Black Ponte Lace Tank and Zip Front Jacket with Black Ponte Pull on Pants.

Tuesday: Black WK Pants and Malachite WK Tank and Open Cardigan (Linea Multi Cabochon Cross and Oro Nuovo Chubby Gold Hoops)

Wednesday: Black WK Pencil Skirt and Petrol WK Tank and Zip Front Cardigan (Linea Gunmetal Hammered Cross and Shoshana Gunmetal Hammered Pear Dangle Earrings)

Thursday: Black WK Pants and Brick Red Tank and Boyfriend Cardigan (Judith Ripka Clad Necklace and Enhancer and Eterna Gold Hoops)

I wore Ellen Tracy Black Quilted Suede and Patent Flats with Gold toe ornamentation and also brought Black heels and Cole Haan Wedges. Wore the flats with the skirt but otherwise wore the flats---never wore the heels. They will not go in the suitcase for the upcoming trip.

Brought my Joy Mangano My Little Steamer and it works like a charm on the Wks!

Re: My Linea Packing Challenge

I'm with you Sheesh - Linea soft suiting all the way! Also bought that little steamer for travel - it packs a punch & lite weight too.

LDO has made a powerful impact on all of us with his American Sportswear. The hard part is deciding what to wear once you've become a Linea collector. Best in investment dressing out there. For that, I continue to be grateful like most contributors here.

LDO covers all needs = can't wait to wear some of my old favorites & new ones (i.e. the WK Stone skirt & swing top) for the upcoming holiday season.

Stay warm in your Linea Dear Sheesh! Safe future travels. . .

p.s. I load up on Airborne C & over indulge fresh grapefruits when I travel the germ mobile - Ha! And anti-bacterial wipes, never leave home w/o them!

Great idea, NBW on the antibacterial wipes---I'll get some tomorrow for sure. Thanks

My two WK Swing Tops were waiting for me when I got back, so I think I'll definitely bring one to DC next week, probably the Mulberry and wear with the Super Ponte Leggings. I think I'll also take the WK Black Boyfriend Cardigan and Tank to wear over maybe one of my colored WK pencil skirts---not sure yet which one---I'll look at my Colorful Print Pashmina collection and pick out a skirt based on the Pashmina I select. I'll need two more outfits and I have not yet decided on them yet. Lord knows I have tons to choose from.

LOL---you know me too well! But oddly, no, I don't have this. I bought my Heys at TJMaxx and I have 3 pieces of the Black/White Houndstooth Check pieces...the 28, the 26 and the 22.They were a great deal. If they had the Cheetah that day, of course, I would have chosen that. I have had a Leopard Print set before, but it was a woven fabric and it wore out---can't recall where I got that leopard print set---but either HSN or QVC. It was great while it lasted, though.

I actually have tons of luggage and my son says I could have a yard sale just for luggage! I've given plenty of suitcases to Goodwill, too.

I also have a Grey/Black Snake set from HSN and a whole bunch more.

I actually just bought a Micro-light Ricardo of Beverly Hills 16" roll aboard for my computer and work files....as the Joy Mangano bag I had was way too heavy and I had been carying my laptop and files in a tote for a while and it was killing my shoulder. It came yesterday and I love it!

I have a Ricardo bag that I can't even remember how old it is, wears like iron. I can't in good conscience retire it until it starts to show signs of age.

Sheesh - OT, need you assistance in getting back into Delphi, my access has changed within the past week or so.

Moto, I found that initially when you open your browser and log into de!ph1 you can get in. Its when you log off and then try to log in again without closing off your browser completely that you run into that problem. I'm using Firefox as my browser.
