Carolyn has a weekly Denim & Co show and a lot of the time she has their petite model on the show. I don't know if it's a special request on her part, but I guess viewers have repeatedly asked for one.

Age: The reason they don't have 60 to 70 year old models is probably about figure types. Most everyday non-model people are way too out of shape or even if they are size 8's or smaller, their skin tone at that age would not be attractive for selling sleeveless clothes, shorts or makeup even. That's just a fact. I am in my early 60's, a size L/XL and I would not wear half of those spandex pants, etc. in my size. I have a spare tire around my waist and my thighs are horrible. QVC wouldn't sell a thing for sure. It IS about the fantasy. I personally don't think the plus size models really represent what the plus size public is going to look like in the clothes. No way. I have Carolyn's figure. I usually get the real story for me when I see her in the clothes.
Even plus size models have some sort of waist and they usually don't have obvious lumps and bumps. That's why they are models. They are usually in shape only larger. Most people I know that have reached plus size don't have model figures, period. Also if you want to get picky, why don't they have models in larger sizes with saddlebag thighs? Think about it. Angel, Maria, Rebecca, and Iris all have a straighter thigh. Take notice next time. Brunette Maria has modeled pencil skirts. I could never!
I only buy things from QVC that I can't get anywhere else. I also don't think they have to represent every nationality. Who cares? It's about modeling clothes. I'm just getting real about this.

No one under 35 yo is going to wear these fashions, especially SGraver's, regardless of how many women tell her that her fashions are wonderful (so she claims). And while we are on the subject of SG, why so many of her shows and not nearly enough Liz C! Many of us would much prefer to see more of Liz C.; at least Linda D. is not boasting constantly like SG.

They could probably get sued if they had older models and they fell and broke a hip.
I don't think QVC models should reflect the typical customer, no reason to glamorize obesity.

There are a lot of posters on these boards who claim to be in their 30's and 40's and wearing clothes they've bought on the Q. Other than "club wear" or perhaps beach gear such as bikinis, I don't see why the tanks, camis, skirts and pants that SG and others sell could not be worn by any young woman. When I see young women at work or in stores they're dressed similar to myself. Now if you're talking about some of the Linea, Quacker Factory and Denim & Co. pieces, etc. they look very "older mature lady" and probably not for a younger woman. I don't need to see clothing on someone who looks exactly like me as long as they have a fairly tall model of average weight. I know what colors look good with my skin and hair color without seeing them on my doppelganger.

True!
But you NEVER see the Q put those models on in the LOGO shows (except for Jackie)............which the "younger" viewers allegedly wear.

I agree with Angel Cake.
The models are fine.
