Quite truthfully, I don't think QVC has a clue about what is fashionable and current. And that overused statement about a fabric being "money," is kind of pathetic.

It was on sale so I'll save the shipping charges and keep it to work in the yard; my question has been answered. I don't believe it's the 6% spandex since my favorite fabric at QVC for tees is 95 cotton/5 spandex. I've never felt the spandex made these past tees feel this way. It really grates on me when KG mentions something feeling like money, it's not a good sales pitch for me, but from here on, I'll question anything she says. Please don't take offense if it's a fabric you like, just had to state my opinion on this fabric. No modal for me.
They must be basing their idea that all of us want to look rich on some old research they or others did. They have always used this strategy. Some of the verbiage they have used for this marketing strategy is so antiquated. Do they really think we are sitting home dreaming we could be one of the ladies who lunch? Sure people fantasize about having money, maybe being well off or rich, but how many fantasize about being wealthy and galavanting about in French terry pants and a cotton rayon blend tee shirt? How many of us dream about the yacht clothes we'll wear from Denim & Co? It's time to update this strategy and put it in line with the products they sell.

My experience with modal and modal blends has been positive. Same with Tencel. I love rayons and rayon blends.
I'm okay with knit fabrics ... depending on the particular item. Some "designers" (in my opinion) don't use it correctly.
The only fabric I don't particularly care for is flimsy poly (aka liquid knit). It's okay for scarves, but not for clothes.
I don't want fabrics that jiggle and/or wrap around my body when I walk - pants or dresses.

I do think some of the designers/names behind the brand and some of the Q hosts have fallen into a rut about what they say to sell items. Isaac and Kim always talk about...looks like money. And Isaac also inflates value, saying...oh, there should be a 4 or a 6 in front of that price...as if what he sells is a $495 blouse. I mean, c'mon. Kim does the same thing...looks like you bought this at an expensive beach boutique. No, no it doesn't.
And many, many hosts on Q and HSN will say it's only $27...when the price is $27.98....which is as close as a kiss to $28. IMO, it's taking the easy way out to selling products.

I read a blend of fabric of any kind will not last long and pills. I've found this to be true. If clothing is 100% polyester, 100% cotton, 100% rayon, etc., the garment will last a long time.

I am unfamiliar with their sales pitch and only know about what I read here @kate2357 . I stopped watching ten years ago but I do shop from the website. The clothing they sell for the most part looks like 1990. I rarely see anyone dressed in what they sell. I need only to leave my house, to see that QVC's clothing is very outdated.
Since I will be 70 in May, although it would be easy for me to cling to fashions that are familiar and I "used" to wear...I want to look current and QVC just is stuck in time. Thus my frustration with their inventory. Sadly, their financials reflect my concerns.🥺

NONE of the clothing lines QVC sells = MONEY. Far from it.
