I've heard the word "Draws" from my West Indian friends. I think that's the way it's spelt so that's what I heard. At first I thought they meant the drawer from your dressing table which is also pronounced draws.  I learned a new word for sure.

Come to think of it the panties would be in the draws.

@Sage04

My grandparents called them "drawers."  But they were born and raised in the good ole USA.

@shoesnbags  that's funny. West Indians have a way of shortening words, so drawers became draws.

I came home from work and had to get out of my brassiere and panty girdle...oh! I mean bra and shaper. 😝

Where do you keep your underwear???...in drawers. That's where the term drawers comes from.  Anyone familiar with the old line "trying to get in my / your drawers" ??  It is a double entendre.

@KBEANS  you are so right. I also remember hearing "Pull up your draws" I called my aunt today who lives in the Caribbean and she made me laugh when I asked about draws (drawers)

Give it up. If she has said " pocketbook" her whole life, she isn't  going to change now. I say "purse" and have never said "handbag" or " pocketbook".
