That's a good question.  I think they do something before sitting to eat.  I read that somewhere.  Then after the actual fundraising event, they change clothes and party all night!  Good question @Kachina624

I think this is a continuation of last year's theme of "America: A Lexicon of Fashion." This part is "Gilded Glamour" and coincides with what is on display at the Museum.

Also the time to go to the bathroom.  I've wondered how some of the females who wear those outlandish gowns how they manuver themselves inside the stall & squat.
