IMO, most of her items have way too much fabric and are oversized.  I thought the TSV was attractive until I watched the video.  Looks like a maternity top to me.  If I had the body type that Marla has, which I don't, it might look good but otherwise an easy pass.

Good point.  While it looks cute, as a petite, I already thought this top would be way too much for me.  And I don't need any more long and/or oversized tunic tops.

I have a few of Marla's clothes.  I find they are each different in fit.  I can wear a large in one and medium in another.  it depends on the type of top.  I love her pants.  Now I am 5"1" so I only buy the regular ankle cut and then they usually come down to my feet.  I can't buy her regular length pants as they are way too long.  I don't buy the toppers that fit like a jacket, as they are too overpowering.  But I wear her clothes almost everywhere.  I don't like jeans and casual unless I'm outside putting up my Christmas decorations.  I'm from the 50's and 60's and we always had to match everything and never went out in sloppy clothes.

I adore Marla Wynne and her clothes are amazing! She is truly gifted with an eye for style and fashion that isnt gaudy, her pieces are interchangable, cozy, she uses top notch materials, it's understated elegance without being dressy, and yes, I bought this jersey shirt in the White. I also bought her faux suede jean in Oyster and the French terry cocoon topper in gray. Love her clothes!

Did you buy your normal size? I have my eye on them and am unsure if I should size them down.

I am new to Marla. I have had my eye on her line for awhile. I have hit the clearance sale pretty hard and the quality is fantastic. She also has been great about responding to questions and comments on FB.

That is not a channel I normally watch but I hit my remote incorrectly and they were presenting it. I thought the black/white shirt looked perfect for those occasions when you want to dress up a bit. We have been invited to an anniversary party at a nice hotel in October and I would feel very comfortable wearing it.

@MG Chris when i bought her pants I bought an 8 which is pretty much my normal Brick & Mortar size.  Some designers, especially QVC ones, I can wear a 6, but most of what is in my closet are 8's.  Hope that helps.

She designs for herself.

@rms1954 Of course she does, as does pretty much every female QVC or HSN designer.  And then they try to tell you any body type can wear their stuff.  Diane Gilman pretty much puts it out there.  She says she designs for a post-menopausal figuer which she claims is big belly and small hips (rear).  Quite the opposite of my 64 yr old body.  I bought a top of hers once thinking it wouldn't matter, but she apparently also has narrow shoulders.

Thank you!

Did anyone else watch the runway show? The set was really nice. The Q could learn a lesson or two from them.

I think Marla has changed her design aesthetic somewhat over time.  I remember when I first start seeing her (don't know how long she's been around) a couple of year ago I thought of her as that lady who designs clothing out of squares.  Every top seemed to be based on a square.  Now, most of her tops have extra fabric, but they're not all as square as they used to be.  The TSV is llike that.

Thank you for starting a new thread! I thought I wasn’t going to buy anything because the TS really isn’t my style. it reminds me of knit tops that you would see at target, not that there’s anything wrong with target but it just sort of has a “fast fashion” feel to me. Plus, I think I really would’ve needed a petite for it to fit me right and it’s not offered in petite.

However, I ended up buying two Marla v neck tank tops (White and thyme), the utility jacket in camel, and that older hexagon chain necklace in gold. I contemplated getting the faux suede jeans, but I really don’t need anymore jeans right now

@GoodyShoes - I LOVE the new utility jacket. I have this jacket in a previous version made in chiffon - black & wear it often. A very versatile and chic jacket. Enjoy!

@Chi-town girl Glad to hear that you like your previous version of this jacket!  I have a twill jacket that is kind of like this from Talbots that I like, but the Marla looks softer (although it is still a woven and not a knit).  I thought the Marla one might be more comfortable since it is softer.  I will report back!
