Re: Mally's Fashion Debut - Help with Jean sizing from Debut show

[ Edited ]

I love Mally's  new  jean with the released hem in the Midtown.  I think I am going to love this fabric combination.  However her sizing is so confusing.  It's on Advance order and I have tried every which way to get a feel for how Mally's sizes compare to other brands. I have re-watched the show several times.  Mally is wearing a regular 6 and Shawn sized up from a 2 to a 4.  I wish Mally had worn the petite size with sneakers so we could see the petite.  I have sent messages with no reply. It is hard to gauge Mally's weight.  I ordered 2 sizes which I prefer not to do.  It would be so much easier to see a size chart, see a petite model or just know more about how these actually run. With a new brand, a debut I think explaining the sizing better is impt.  The buying and returning and exchanging is fine, but I'd rather start out at least trying to get the right size.  Thoughts anyone or has anyone successfully contacted Mally and received a reply and if so how other than Instagram were you able to get through? No luck with that.  TIA

@acatgirl The jeans do have a detailed garment measurement chart. It is at the very bottom of the item description. You may have to tap "show more"... then select "To see the specific garment measurements for this item, click here."

I understand your frustration with the presentation.  Good luck with getting the correct fit.

Re: Mally's Fashion Debut - Help with Jean sizing from Debut show

Thanks so much. I did follow that chart.  What was confusing were the sizes Shawn and Mally were wearing and Shawn sizing up. (She is very thin now.)  I don't think on air they are going to compare Mally sizes to other brands.  If they are presented again this week, maybe I can judge by seeing another model, possibly if Amy has them on. I wish they mentioned to "size down" from QVC sizing, or say they run a little small, true to size or large.  Sometime that's helpful. It's not that I was going after a released hem.  This is definitely more than a flare (described as a boot), but not as wide as a wide leg; I like that.  I also like the blend of fabric.  I hope they are a hit.  We will know when the reviews come in.  I've never ordered anything from Mally.  Thanks again.

Re: Mally's Fashion Debut - Help with Jean sizing from Debut show

@acatgirl I hope you get to see a better presentation soon.  Maybe shoppers with more QVC jeans orders will reply. I have only two other jeans orders which I know is not very helpful, but I'll explain what I came up with below. Very boring but HTH:

Do you own jeans from other QVC brands?  If so, you can do what I did, when I was debating whether to order the regular length (I'm 5'5" like Shawn) Mally jeans or not.

I looked up the garment measurements chart for a Susan Graver jean I ordered (and had to return due to hip/crotch being too baggy) and I also looked up a Kim Gravel bootcut pull-on jean I ordered (they are a good size fit, except the knee and upper calf is a little tighter than I like, and I concluded that I won't buy pull-on again because the front is baggier than the backside on me, which I find annoying).

Those two actual jeans (SG & KG) measured accurately against their charts.

So when I compared Mally's chart to those other two charts, considering the areas on the SG and KG jeans that I found to be too baggy, too tight, and just right, I concluded that I would need to stick with my same size 8.

This is assuming Mally's garment size chart is accurate, as the other two were.

I thought the overall proportions of this new Mally jean looked best on 5'2" Mally, who was wearing the regular length. This makes me wonder what the petite would've looked like, and as you said, that would've been very helpful to see. It looked too short on Shawn, even though she sized up.

Good luck!
