Where are the smaller size models?? Im a petite person, as are so many of us and we need representation too! Courtney and Amy can't wear everything. Don't get me wrong, I think Jackie is the most beautiful of all, but we really need a petite model.  I know designers and shopping networks are catering to larger sizes now but it's not fair to the petite people.

Agreed!  ....and not just petite models that weigh under a hundred pounds!

They had petite models prior to Covid.  Don't know why they didn't return.

I think they don’t have as many petite options anymore. I know Gary from Denim & Co always talks about how petite just isn’t a shorter inseam, it is also different proportions in the top and sleeves. I think QVC realizes the clothes won’t look as good on the petite models, but I agree with you. It is hard for me to visualize what an item will look like on me, if it is on somebody who is tall and shaped a lot differently than I am.

It's getting more difficult to find really nice petiite clothing anywhere. Nordstrom has a few items online, but no longer in stores.

Top designers have discontinued their petites and assume we'll just get everything tailored. Since Covid, many tailors here have not survived since such a small business.

Re: MORE PETITE MODELS PLEASE!

Yes, and as someone who sews, it is not always easy to make the alterations. Sure, it’s simple to him a pair of pants, but not so easy to raise the waist in a top!

With petite proportions, even though it sounds counterintuitive, sometimes a longer length is more flattering. For example. Capri pants are not generally flattering on petites because they make the legs look even shorter. So, regular Capri pants work for petites because they hit around the ankle, which does not break up the leg as much. It seems like more tailored luxe are coming in, and those are harder to finagle. It’s a real drag when you have a tailored shirt that’s way too long and doesn’t look good tucked in. Unfortunately, I don’t have too much space between my natural waist and my shoulders. Sleeve length can be hard to alter.

QVC and other clothing retailers only have so much bandwidth and can only offer so many different sizes. It seems like they are offering fewer petite clothes in favor of more plus sized clothes. Talbots and Dillards still carry a lot of petites.

Which top designers are you referring to?
