If I did rainbow clothing, I would do something like this-

(but I wouldn't spend that much on a sweater).

I like necklaces like this for a rainbow vibe (Eye Candy, sold out)

I have this one from Soft Surroundings (sold out)

and this Linea Mardi Gras necklace (also sold out)
so I am in good shape RE rainbow items.

@lolakimono wrote:You could probably make this-
You don't even need a pattern! It's all 1x1 rib and garter stitch.
Measure a sweater in your closet.
Buy some bulky yarn, calculate your gauge. (Actually, you could use a double strand of worsted weight ... great project for leftovers!)
Knit front and back rectangles.
Join shoulders leaving neck opening.
Join side seams leaving sleeve opening.
Pick up and knit neck edging. Pick up and knit sleeves.

I just bought a bunch of different yarns to test various color combinations ... I might just use those leftovers to make this!
Thanks for the idea!

Thank you for the confidence. I don't knit, however I CAN crochet the world's longest chain ever. I cannot connect it to anything, but my cats like to play with them.![]()
I have had a HOT classroom for such a long time that I haven't been able to wear any sweaters. When I am home, in the winter, I am a cat magnet so I am usually in fleece. Otherwise, it's snag city.

I don't like 3/4 sleeves.
velvet + cats = hair magnet.
Rebecca Taylor is great for making some masculine items more feminine.
Very nice, Lola, but you are so right--what's up with the 3/4 sleeves?!? Since your kitties preclude you from velvet, it wasn't meant to be.
Now that I have your attention, what are your thoughts on white boots? I know they were big last year, I just can't seem to get past:

I hear you RE majorettes/Nancy Sinatra.![]()
I have admired styles like this-

I can't do it, mainly because I am persnickety about "clean" footwear, and on something like this I would be disappointed with the first scuff/scratch.
I think the key is to keep them short, so they don't look like a costume.

RE plaids, this is at GAP, in two colors- in the description it says "boxy", but it looks more feminine than your average plaid shirt, IMO.
@butterfly123 I stumbled upon this- 100% cotton and in TALLS!
