Re: Looking At Spring Today!

I will be looking for some crops and tops to wear at home, since that is where I will be.

Re: Looking At Spring Today!

What I want is not in the fashion line...I like to strip and restain or repaint furniture....the flip side is I have no room for new furniture and there is nothing I currently have that I want to part with....

Re: Looking At Spring Today!

I bought quite a few things that I never had the opportunity to wear last year so I’m going to try to not buy anything new, unless there is a specific reason for me to do so. No reason to look that great just working from home with the cats.

But, I am kind of looking forward to Q’s Spring Fashion Day ((whenever that may be) It will be great to see some lighter, brighter clothes, even if I don’t buy anything. I know I could look at other websites and blogs, but I have no interest in doing so. Q brings the fashions into my home. LOL If I really wanted anything, then maybe I’d search.

Re: Looking At Spring Today!

Spring has sprung here... OK, not on topic, but it's going to be sunny and 67 degrees today right here in the middle of the USA!   I am wearing a spring top and shoes this morning.

I definitely don't need any new pieces this spring.  I'm saving my fashion money for a later date.

@ECBG   I've done a fairly good job of getting my closet down to only those items I wear often and love...all seasons. It's taken a long time to weed out those things that just were not "me". I had plenty of time staying in during these 7-8 months. It's a process.

Even if I had been out "living my usual life", I have enough clothing in each category. Maybe for spring, I'd add a little color. I'll be looking for a hydrangrea blue,wedgewood blue or similar blues in lightweight cotton pullover sweaters or the same in a long sleeve v neck tees. Last spring I also added blush pink tops which I loved and may look for another one.

I love wearing white tops of any kind...blouses, tees and lightweight sweaters. I did add litle flourishes to my white tops last year for more interest...tucks, unusual details on sleeves, etc. I found a few at Sundance and petites at Soft Surroundings and may look for a few more. White tops are difficult to keep looking fresh.

I'm getting more particular about my purchases so I don't fill my closet with too many choices and only buy items  that are washable, so doing an extra load of laundry in warm weather is no big deal. That's better for me than having too much clothing.

Talbots is clearing out last summer's tops with a vengeance, especially at the first quality "outlet" which is their more cotton side.  Sleeveless, short, 3/4 and long!  Are you near one?

No.  But I'll look on line.  Thank you.

Re: Looking At Spring Today!

@ECBG

I haven’t looked at spring clothing yet, but I have made a short list of what I need & want.

I really liked & wore my only pair of light denim crop jeans often last year so I definitely want another pair.

I’d like to find a pair of white pants with a trouser cut - not too flared or wide.

There are a few other things on my list, but these 2 are my priorities. I’m going to try to stick to my list and not buy too many things this year.

Re: Looking At Spring Today!

I would like a lavender cardigan; I had one that I liked and tore a big hole in it by catching it on a nail. 😫 Also, one of my favorite bloggers had an outfit last spring that she had thrifted but it was definitely my style. It was a coral and white sleeveless blouse and coral cardigan. I am going to keep my eyes open for something similar.

@wilma

I hope that you can find the white slacks. Those are hard to find that are reasonably priced and not see through.

@ECBG

I wish we had a Talbot's outlet nearby.

Re: Looking At Spring Today!

I have plenty of warm weather clothing, not that that usually stops me from shopping, but I just don't get that excited about spring summer stuff. I am a fall winter kind of girl even though we have no such thing here! LOL
