Linea sizing info please?

I have not yet ordered from the Linea line but I am impressed by all the positive reviews. I would like to try the WK sweaters and the suede jacket but I am confused on the sizing.

I have a chest measurement of 39" so it appears I am in between the small and the medium if I am reading the size charts correctly.

I would appreciate any input re the correct size to order. Also, I notice a lot of his items are hand wash - are they OK on delicate cycle?
