I find it unfortunate that Louis' TSV is a sweater in mid-August.

This TSV is an updated oldie but goody I have this from Linea in a turtle neck with the exact same/very similar embroidery on the sleeves. The length on my turtle neck is 26" , this top is a tad shorter. The sleeves were the same shape, and length. I wore my turtle neck to death with long skirts, velvet skirts, pencil skirts, and jeans. I just pulled my turtleneck out for this season, since embrodidery is in again and it still looks like new.. Linea is still one of my favorite lines on QVC.

@Suzeecat, I don't think we can put the bell sleeves of this sweater in the sme category as some of the exaggerated trendy sleeve styles which seem to be everywhere clothing is sold. As stated by @theladyinred this sweater is a reinterpretation of an embroidered ensemble Louis designed back in 2001. I own two of the bell-sleeved turtlenecks and the boucle topper from that collection. The turtlenecks are longer than the Big Deal, but perhaps that was intentional as waistlines on pants were going south (lower) in 2001 and cropped tops were coming into trend. Louis may have taken into consideration that his customers did not want any belly/waist exposure and made the original sweater longer for that reason. Since the present trend is waistlines are going north (higher) on pants, a couple inches shorter on the sweater still leaves the wearer with complete middle coverage. It is too bad the Big Deal isn't the same cotton/acrylic blend of the original sweater, but I'll give it a try. I'm ordering forest green since my turtlenecks are black and red.
@theladyinredGlad to hear that you are also still enjoying our almost 20 year old sweaters. The quality of that ensemble was unbelieveable. The colors of the sweaters and topper are still like new vibrant, and there's no snagging or shredding of the embroidery anywhere. The compliments are still coming everytime I wear any of the items.

I like embroidery, but there is too much of it on the sleeve for me. I am not a fan of bell sleeves either. This one isn’t a huge bell, but the cuffs look a bit too heavy and long. Might be the embroidery and/or material that is giving me that impression.

The style is not one I would wear (and I don't like the embroidery). After reading that it is similar to a sweater from some years ago, it makes a bit more sense why it looked familiar to me and seemed a little "dated," even though the design elements are on trend currently.

I again looked at a presentation because there was something bothering me about it. Then I noticed how the bottom half of the sleeve wore on the models. Although I have a Whisper Knit, this particular sweeter appears to be very heavy looking/feeling for the models, at the place where the embroidery is. Does that make sense how I describe it? It just doesn't seem to mold to the arm; it appears stiff to me.
Do wish I could feel more whole-hearted about it, but I can't. Easy pass for me after I kept watching how the sleeve lays (or doesn't lay!) on the arms.
However, I did purchase ANOTHER 3/4 sleeve ombre high-low top presented. That makes six of that style that I have. Truly love that blouse.

After reading comments here, proves that the buyers need to order petite and regular sizes.

@queendiva wrote:I am petite with short arms. Seeing the sleeve length on the models, this will not work for me. Too bad; I like the neckline, too. Would have ordered in black.
Enjoy to those who ordered.
@queendiva Yep, another sweater that should come in petites. By the time I’d shorten the sleeves, the design would be gone and I’d have just another sweater.

I saw the last presentation last night and was quite surprised that the embroidered sleeve didn't have a lining/facing.
1. You could see up the sleeve when Leah moved her arm and you saw the wrong side of the embroidery.
2. Watches, bracelets (and even prong-set rings) are going to catch on those threads.
