Re: Linea, August 1: Fess up! What did you order?

I ordered a pair of aubergine tights to try them out and with all the comments about the WK knit pants being too long I ordered a Hunter green pair. Not a big fan of knit pants but I am a big fan of Hunter green! Nothing else appeals to me - maybe the next show.

I stuck with my original list above. I almost caved for the beaded tunic in brown but it looked like the beading was only on front and that was a deal killer for me.

Re: Linea, August 1: Fess up! What did you order?

I went a little nuts this time! I ordered: the jacket in black with the matching long skirt, plus the red skirt, the lace top in gray, the drape front cardi in black and taupe, plus taupe shell, animal print pencil skirt in taupe, WK skirt in latte and aubergine, the red toursade necklace (wait list), the collar WK in ivory, and a boatload of tights! Oh, almost forgot, got the black WK pants, and the luggage tan leather jacket. Whew!

Re: Linea, August 1: Fess up! What did you order?

Well, originally I wasn't going to order anything. With a very mild winter that occurs mostly in Jan. & Feb., I really don't need to buy much this time of year. But as someone said, what does "need" have to do with it? When the slim PK pants popped up unexpectedly last night, I ordered 2 in black and 2 in chocolate. This slim leg silhouette is the style that works best for me in pants, and I loved last year's PK slim leg pants. And I have the go-with animal jacquard zip front jackets. The measurements are slightly different, so I hope they fit, otherwise I'll be returning 4 pairs of pants - yikes! Then this morning someone posted that the peplum jacket was a Lunchtime Special for $29.86, so I had to pick up one in sea green. And when I watched the show- in a parked car on my phone - I could not resist the red jacket, even though I've been telling myself all day that I absolutely DON'T need this jacket. So I ended up with

2 chocolate PK slim leg pants

2 black PK slim leg pants

PK peplum blazer in sea green

short button up jacket in brick red

Also caved and ordered the TSV boots in charcoal - perfect for someone like me who can't wear heels.

So much for sitting this one out.

Re: Linea, August 1: Fess up! What did you order?

Got the WK TNeck in Charcoal and Navy, both of which I ordered early. The other colors that I wanted dups on are already sold out. Was busy last night and did not think to check online at Midnight. And I was at work during the show this afternoon. I so wanted the WK open front cardigan with a matching tank but the cardigans are all sold out except in taupe which doesn't work for me.

So disappointed that the inseams on the pants are so short. Really wanted the new slim PK pants. Hope he is able to bring more of the styles that were offered last year. I love those. Hope those of you who ordered the new pants love them.

Love the idea of the tights but I already have so many. May be tempted. Waiting for the next show to dive in. Fall/Winter clothes are my favorites throughout the year.

Thanks to gardensla for your very thoughtful post.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Re: Linea, August 1: Fess up! What did you order?

Here's my Fall line-up thus far:

WK Petite Pants: 2 Black, 1 Navy--lots of use with all my "colored" WK tops, so pants are a must have. Shipped.

OTO WK Cardigan in Black, Royal Purple and Petrol Blue. Wasn't planning on the Petrol but "I died" when I saw it.

WK Tanks in Royal Purple and Petrol Blue---the Purple already delivered.

WK Pencil Skirt in Aubergine (hoping for another WK Top in Aubergine to go with---love, love, love this color.) Shipped.

WK Pencil Skirt in Latte--saw it on Jac and had to have it to wear with my oodles of Black WK tops. A change of pace to my usual dark bottoms. Would have loved the WK pants to come in a light color.

WK Turtlenecks in Charcoal and Navy---because I'll never have enough WK T-necks---they are just that good!

Mini Cheetah Skirt and Top in Taupe and the just the Skirt in Blue. I am an Animal Print Fanatic from forever and these pieces are perfect for me.

Animal Instinct Tights in Black---once I confirm the correct sizing (I ordered a C), I'll order more in the Animal and the Solid.

Animal Tortoise jacquard Zippered Front Jacket in Olive on Waitlist---my favorite Linea piece and I have already in Chocolate, Cobalt, Raspberry and Grey.

Beaded V-Neck Cotton Poly Span Tunic in Black and Sangria. Delivered. Not sure I ordered the right size---my Mediums cling---they looked more A-line on the models. Need to try them on again and decide what to do. A few inches longer and they could be a dress! The Black is my favorite, though, and I almost didn't order it.

The Leather Blazer in Black. Wasn't sure what size to order. Didn't know if it ran big with the knit sides. Got a Medium and we'll see.

Recent LTS---got two Mambo Dresses in Brown and Blue---price was low enough to warrant taking to seamstress to shorten. I guess she'll take the Ruffle off, shorten the dress and sew the ruffle back on. We'll see.

I had the Ponte Slim Pants in Chocolate and cobalt in my Cart but tossed them out as I just had to stop somewhere and I drew the line there.

It was a fabulous show and I am going to watch the videos again to see Louis' consummate styling and commit it to memory.

Sheesh, lol, I agree & I was being facetious. Can't get enough. Just about everything I bought over the last two days has been black and more black to add to my mostly black and neutrals closet! I do love it--it's safe & classic--but I'm always tempted to branch out and order something in a color. Adore that petrol blue (which is perfect with black), but early reviews say it's very "bright" and my fear is it's a bit overwhelming for a "summer." Ordering it anyway

I did a little more damage:

WK turtlenecks in navy and charcoal grey

Mambo dress in brown

Safari jacket in navy (on clearance)

OTO cardigan in Petrol blue; waitlisted for the tank (if anyone has a medium to sell...please let me know)

Cardigan & v-neck set in seafoam and natural

Long black beaded necklace

Oh, yes, I knew you were being facetious---that's why I answered the way I did. Also, I do think a Summer can wear it. I'm a Winter and look best in Black and true jewel tones, but I also got the Petrol---couldn't resist. Maybe we can dye our hair red like Kate---LOL!

I just got a pair of WK pants in navy. Hope they are long enough. Trying to pick and choose what I really ""need"". I have been more about higher end and quality over quantity lately.

Re: Linea, August 1: Fess up! What did you order?

Well, I planned to be restrained for this Louis visit, ordering only the WK pants. But that resolve didn't last very long...

I ordered, and have already received, the WK pants in black, navy and --of course, for me,-- hunter green. I can be an L or XL depending on the cut of pants but the L fits fine and the 30 inseam is perfect for me. I also ordered the side button WK tunic sweater in hunter green.

I had waitlisted the aubergine WK pencil skirt months ago and just received it. So of course I had to order the new tights in aubergine (and heather gray and back, too). And the charcoal WK turtleneck is such a classic I just had to have that, too, to add to my WK turtleneck collection which includes just about every color Louis has ever offered since he began selling them many years ago.

I didn't plan on ordering any skirts, but oh, that nutmeg color just had to visit my closet-- so I ordered the WK long skirt and the OTO open front WK cardigan in nutmeg to go with it. And since I have lots of WK sweaters in black, that same skirt in black just had to join the "family" in my ccloset.

Then the luggage leather/knit jacket showed up and on easy pay-- I already have it in tarragon and burgundy, so it just seemed like the other two jackets would be lonely in the closet unless I ordered a new "friend" for them.

So it ended up being quite a haul-- not even including a few earlier orders like the pewter flutter hem cardican and matching knit tee, which I love.

I am in big trouble when the long Ponte Jacket comes in stock...and anything else in hunter green this season will have to join their 'cousins' in my closet.

I'm a Linea Lady and I am addicted...
