This is a problem with the *new* Talbots unfortunately. I bought the periwinkle charming cardi in size L (which is the size of all the 17 in my closet in both long and 3/4 sleev'e and I couldn't even get it on. I notice that the shells are all cut differently as well. I have had to take back 2 shells.

A couple of years ago I bought 3 of the faux wrap tops in 3 different colors. I am large chested, so I take them in to be altered so the wrap falls correctly. The seamstress said you would never know these 3 tops were cut from the same pattern, they were off in so many different places by a lot on each one.

I am in for the Black Raspberry Charming Cardi and Shell. I'm ordering it right now before it goes away.

Unfortunately, it's not just Talbots -- it seems to be true of just about every retailer these days. I always try on multiples of my size if more than one is available . . . no matter where I'm shopping!
