This Sherpa is truly ratty looking already. Imagine after a wash?

Agree, and that is not what I think of as sherpa.  Looks like my Bershire throw.

I spent some time in the chat that Amy Goins had on Kim's Facebook page during her shows.  It really is night & day from this forum.  They are truly a dedicated, loyal, and eagerly shopping group over there. They absolutely love Kim!!  Hundreds of posts of shoppers saying they made multiple purchases -- like five & six items from the show.  Amy engages with them and they all talk like they've been friends for decades.

Some don't care for Mary, some don't care for Rachel.  But they all adore Kim.  It's like she's part girlfriend next door, and life coach that gets them through their day.  Some apologize for being late to the chat; some announce they're leaving early.  Most said, "see you Wednesday!" like you would in a book club or shopping club.  Kim tapped in to a goldmine.

That's just one more reason QVC absolutely loves social media.

Name another phenom like that? ITKWD benefited from the charisma of David Venable (once upon a time) plus his social media host engaging with shoppers, from Mary to now Rachel.  They love it there!

I am too--only I have never watched any of her shows long enough to see much of her stuff----not at all interested in her clothes or make up or decors or----her home cleaning products--please let there NOT be toilet paper--just kidding there---hopefully🫤Too much all the time---not good!!!

I had to Google Rebecca Minkoff after seeing one of her shows and the comments re: her on these forums. There was an interesting article about her dipping her fingers into too many things and people just got tired of her offerings. I could have substituted KG for RM! Overkill! That being said, however, I sure don't want her shows to give way to Susan Graver's "designs". The QVC offerings are just all beginning to look alike: polyester, polyester, and polyester. I see some cotton clothes showing up from time to time and love that!

Her triple lux pants are very good.  I got several of them when they first appeared and they are excellent.  Overall she makes good decent clothes.

It took a while but the hostility first appeared when it was disclosed she was a billionaire.  (on paper as she disclosed).  But it's any successful brand on QVC.  There is similar hostility to Susan Graver too. QVC hit gold with Kim and it's natural that they put her on a lot.

I agree, many presentations are way too long. I read an article once that said they stay long on items that are selling well; perhaps that is why they come back to things several times trying for a sell out.

@Catastrophe  we can agree to disagree.  I love my slub knit tops from J Jill and Denim & Co!  They are soft.  Not see through .  Wash and wear well.

@songbird

Where was it disclosed and by who that she is a billionaire?

Google searching doesn't come up with that at all.

Millionaire....there is a BIG difference!  And that is her net value...not how much cash she has in her purse!  LOL

Those are determined by supposed value of holdings, company assets, potential for earnings etc etc.

She appears to be a very successful, hard working business woman.

It's a shame there is any hostility to her at all.

The Sherpa shirts were downright ugly. And they repeated and repeated. I'm also not a horizontal stripes person. Yet KG is loaded with awful sweaters in that design. The singing is ridiculous. I just tune out.

She admitted this to Shawn in an interview through QVC.  I think you can still see the interview.  Also  from Business Insider.  An interview with her and another one from Forbes.  They need to disable ad blockers. You can google her at her name and billionaire and you will see several sources.

Here is an excerpt from Business Insideer

Today, I've created two of QVC's most successful brands. Over the last seven years, I've sold over $1 billion in clothing, and last year my companies did $283 million in sales. I love that I run the company, and my husband is the chief financial officer. I'm not licensing my name or brand; I'm making decisions and developing this company.
