Maybe if the picture was shot with Katie in a different pose it would look better....but to me that looks like a bathrobe.

If she was going for a warm and comfy look, she succeeded.

This is the one by Max Mara, but looks like there are a lot of dupes out there for much less $$.

I love that coat. A little too expensive for me. It was also around last season.

They have knock offs at my local Belk department store.  They come in pink, too.  They were around $100.00.

I love me a good faux fur coat, but not this one and definitely too $$$$. I assume this is a man-made material.

That coat and KH paired it with white tennis shoes and no socks? Nope.

I agree with the bathrobe comment.   But this is likely not Katie's only coat so I'm sure it's not an issue for her 

I've been seeing them a lot this year, but the last thing I want is something to add more bulk.

A fun look, but not for me, and certainly not at this price!

@Witchy Woman I have seen some shorter coats in this style, and in pink and ivory, as well as the camel color.  To my eyes, the shorter version looks cute...I would consider purchasing one.  

And yes, I'm sure Katie has a closet full of coats to choose from!

I had one just like that in sage green when I was in junior high.  It is not very attractive on or off the body but at 14, I thought it was the cat's meow.
