@Trix wrote:FYI the bigshirt which is featured so prominantly in the brand was Joan's idea. Joan was not a woman who would take credit for an idea which was not her own, so if her story was she asked the team to create a cotton blend big shirt I'm buying it. She always used to say that the shirt worn with slim slacks and casual shoes was a uniform for her during weekends in the Hamptons. She used to talk about this casual look even before the fashion line was developed. When the brand was all jewelry, the outfit was used in the sales pitch of how to take a very simple look, and jazz it up with her jewelry. I believe it because not even the stylish Joan Rivers wore Chanel 24/7.
The big shirt is the only thing I have seen, in the apparel section, come out of the Joan collection since her death. I cannot imagine her closet filled with nothing but big shirts and tacky, overpriced jewelry. There seems to be no vision, no investment, just "getting by."

@151949 wrote:So -for those who don't like the boyfriend shirts - when they are on why don't you just go do something else for a few min. Don't you think it is pretty unfair to think that just because YOU don't like them that no one should be able to get one and they should never be shown? I see many things on QVC that I'm not interested in purchasing, that doesn't mean that QVC shouldn't ever have them on - other people like those products, & purchase them. For instance if WEN or Dooney & bourke or any of the "gourmet" foods are on I just skip right past the channel.
Then they can have all the big shirts they want and all that you can buy but don't put Joan Rivers' name on them. Give it David's name or let Susan Graver or Denim & Co make them. They represent nothing Joan wore unless it was when she was reading a book.

Your correct, she often said she walked about NYC with the dog in a shirt, I don't care of them for me, but something for everyone. I do not like LOGO either but some do.
So be it.

The big shirt has been selling successfully. As with all the "designers" on QVC...it's all about what sells.

I still like to check to see what is new, and I love David, but I cannot get enthused about the current line. Maybe it will fade away eventually like Joan's class jacket which was the focus for so long. A petite, I ordered many of Joan's fashions when she offered trim, classic little jackets, tapered skirts, etc. I miss her reader too. I understand not everyone is petite, but I sure liked being able to order a good part of my wardrobe from Joan.

I agree, enough of the boyfriend shirts!! I can't see spending so much money for shirts that you can see through! Please bring back some stylish clothes that Joan would of worn!

I posted several months ago. I'm still very disappointed that David and Melissa are so focused on these big tops. I order only pants from her clothing line now. Sure do miss those sharp little tops. I love David but don't get excited about the options now. Joan didn't live in these big shirts. I always knew I could find things in her collection but no longer.

I don't care for the boyfriend shirts. One show was almost entirely boyfriend shirts. I have several beautiful jackets of Joan's and a few pants that are nice and a perfect fit. Not so sure about the newer items they are showing. I like David. I hope Joan's great style will continue.

Sorry I love the Boyfriend shirt "style". However, way too long for someone who is petite in height - 4'11". David, how about these shirts in a proportion length.
