Jambu boots running extremely small, would you consider that a defect?

I ordered a pair of Jambu boots from ShopHQ & got them today. I ordered them in my normal size (based on reviews on the item) I have to fight with them to get the boots on & once I have them on, they are extremely uncomfortable so I think I should have ordered up a size. This was never mentioned in any of the presentations that I saw. Would you consider the size discrepancy a defect? I'm asking because I don't want to be on the hook for the return shipping since I ordered based on the info given on the tv presentation & online reviews & nothing was said about them running small.

if they are truly cut a whole size smaller then I would question who posted the positive reviews that didn't mention you needed to size up....IMO then that Is a manufacturing flaw....I don't know this brand so don't know if this brand tends to run small or not; I would probably try and contact their CS before shipping them back and ask them to pay the shipping....perhaps the pair is mismarked with the wrong size; that is indeed a defect.

I think in this case, I would call to speak with a person to see if you can convince the CS rep that it's deserving of a company paid return. (I assume that's why you're asking.) That's really the opinion you need the most. State your case and be polite but firm and there's a chance you can get him or her to agree. It can't hurt to try.

I don't know if that would be considered a defect, but you could call customer service and give it a shot if you think they were mislabeled. Does the size in the boot match the size on the box?

Thanks for the response, ladies. They definitely run small. They're marked as a size 10 but they're smaller than a pair of size 9 1/2 boots that I already own.( I compared the boots sole to sole) It seems as if they run 1/2 size small, which means I would have needed a 10 1/2 in these for a comfortable fit.

I just googled Jambu boots sizing. I don't know which boots you ordered, but several of the reviews for the boot I saw said the boots seemed to run a size to a size and a half small. Some of them said they were told to size up and did so, but boots still felt tight. One reviewer also used the word "defect", so I guess you're not alone.

This is a brand I will definitely NOT be ordering again, that's for sure.

I was interested because there was a pair of Jambu shoes I wanted. If I do go ahead and try them, I'll get them from a free shipping site. I did originally see them on ShopHQ and the price was good, but they were out of the silver in my size.

I've given up ordering shoes online unless I've had the exact same style before or they have an open back. That means no boots.
