I am so relieved to see that there were several posters who recognize that the mishaps that happened with this show were minor in the grand scheme of things.
I don't understand the comments about people being fired for making harmless mistakes. I'm sorry if Louis was momentarily concerned about his wife, but it is silly to carry on about the whole thing like it was a disaster. It wasn't even a close call.

I don't understand the need to apologize. They are truly a class act. Things go arwy on live TV. No blame, stuff happens. I really wouldn't have brought attention to it. Just sayin'

We not only enjoy your fashion, but we enjoy your shows and sincerely appreciate your blog. You and Louis have become so much more... Many of us feel you are our fashion friends.... Looking forward to your next show....hugs....pattij
I have been in contact with both Louis and Jac for several years now. Not only do we consider them OUR friends, they consider us THEIR friends! This may be hard for some to understand. As a designer myself -although retired and interiors rather than fashion- I understand how a designer becomes very attached to clients. And they to their designers. After all, our work involves bringing beauty, pleasure, and functionality into our clients' lives. And we can't do that very well without understanding our clients, their concerns, their desires, and their lifestyles.
I can't even imagine the daunting task that Louis must have in crafting his many, many designs for a client base as diverse as ours! He is very committed to bringing us the BEST that he possibly can, including the way he plans and delivers his shows.
As a designer myself, I completely understand the distress when something goes wrong with our well-crafted plans. It happened to me twice, for two different showhouses I was in and for very large viewing publics. And then to have the concern for a beloved wife while on live TV must have sent distress levels soaring! Not to mention the distress unseen by us behind the scenes.
Not a good day for anyone. Although an apology from the Dell'Olios was not at all necessary, I completely understand why both Louis and Jac felt they let us down. And it was very generous of Jac to communicate this to us.
Edited for syntax.

Somehow, I think the situation was worse than we know :-) champagnepoodle, and that's perhaps why the reactions seem out of balance. I've watched many MANY QVC shows from all different vendors, and I'm pretty sure I've never seen one that jumbled up. It was bizarre. So maybe the issues run deeper. Hopefully, that's it, that's all, and the next show will be overly fantastic.

True--there have been many storms, etc. during the years, hosts taking ill, etc. and I've never seen anything like yesterday's show.

Ah ha, kimsu, you may be right. Never thought that the situation maybe worse than we saw. I totally get it. Makes sense their frustration. : ) Thanks for your comment.

I agree. There are many worse things that can happen in live TV. It may have thrown the show off a little but it hardly seems like the big deal many are making it.

Remember the power outage at the QVC studio when Louis was on?? That was memorable too!
