TMZ has broken huge stories that turned out to be TRUE! For example, they were the first media outlet that confirmed that Michael Jackson had passed away. While other stations, made the announcement hours later. People used to trash the National Enquirer too....Until they caught John Edwards visiting his mistress. Hey they are not always right, but they have been dead on in recent years.

Sounds like neither the clinic or Joan's ENT felt like they had to follow any rules or procedure when it came to a famous patient.

OMG! I was wondering if Dr. Korovin performed the surgery since she was her Dr. I know this because I saw Dr. K. about 10 years ago when I was having a problem with my throat and she was recommended to me as being the best there is. She charged me $1,000 just to walk in the door (and she does not accept insurance), I nearly had a stroke but figured I am not playing with my health and she was indeed very good. That being said, there are photos all over her office of everyone and I mean everyone from ex presidents, to the top names in theatre, movies, opera, etc. There was an autographed photo to her from Joan and I asked her what she was like and everyone raved about her saying how she would refuse to use the VIP entrance and would sit in the waiting room and chat with everyone. She would also bring the receptionist and Dr. K's assistant bee pins every time she came. The news kept referring to her Dr. as a he so I was wondering why Dr. K. was not the doctor in this case. And OMG, it was her! I am shocked that she would stoop to such a low level, risk losing her zillion dollar practice and her credibility and integrity. Unbelievable.

If the information posted here is correct, then a combination of fame worship and professional ego led this doctor down a road that should have been closed after the Michael Jackson tragedy and the jailing of his doctor. We often think celebrities get the best possible medical care that money can buy. However, it seems that sometimes there are doctors who will take short cuts or break the rules in the name of celebrity.
I'm in the medical field and there's always a saying we use....."somebody has to graduate at the bottom of the class".

I would never go to a doctor who had those photos on the walls. They are clear proof her priorities are not in the right place.
